After quite the break, the team behind the Battlefield Apocalypse mod are back today with a new update. They have a lot to show off through both new screens and a video. Have a look:
Great to see all the work they have done while news was quiet! Be sure to drop by their site for even more.
After a long hiatus off the air waves, we're finally able to sneak out another transmission to whoever is listening to this broadcast while wandering the god-forsaken wastelands. We had to lay low for a while due to increased Reaver activity in the area. In the past, no one had ever seen a Reaver and lived to tell the tale, so nobody alive actually knew what one looked like... one that was living, that is... until now.
We have a confirmed sighting of a Reaver, and with the help of this artist's rendition (which happens to be a work in progress), you'll know what to look for and avoid. From what we understand, this is one of the "good looking" Reavers. But still, they're not to be trusted under any circumstances. This image shows what he may look like while wearing his battle gear. Avoid contact at all costs!
One of our wandering nomad developers stole a Reaver Ducati just outside of Helltown. Evidently, the Reaver had to take a leak and wasn't watching his bike very well. Not only is this incident how we obtained the Reaver sighting, but we also have footage of the Ducati in action (requires QuickTime). We apologize for the degraded film; nuclear fallout is a bitch.
We also have word that the Remnant have recently outfitted one of their vehicles with some big firepower. This new vehicle has been seen only from a distance, mowing packs of Reavers down left and right.
On a side note, we've seen some new weapons make their way into Bartertown. There's the "Bone Saw" (i.e. Cement Saw), the PVC Launcher, and the Toolbox. All of which can be suitably used for survival purposes and considered a must have for any wasteland traveller. And finally, Juralis has another Modder's Journal entry for you all to enjoy.
