AirMAPS Mod Update

The team behind the AirMAPS mod have sent us a new update today. This news comes with some new media to show. Here's what they had to say:

The AirMAPS's dev-team has moddeled somes aerial vehicules. It is beautiful, it is big, it is strong...It is the C130. Schoyhan has worked harder for our pleasure, he has modeled its big jewel not very discrete but which ensures fun! We show you in exclusivity the firsts renderers of C130. In second we have a new chopper, the OH-6, little and realy handy. In last, we have a new french's plane, the Rafale.

AirMAPS is a pretty fun mod, I downloaded it today. You may not be able to understand them, but you still have fun. :nod:

I think since you guys are adding new vehicles you should make it more realistic.

For instance
-The f-15 isnt a carrier fighter
-add some anti air to the carriers
-take away the afterburners from the helos
-add some trans helos
-get rid of the boat stunts map
-the f-18 should have a real runway to take off from-
-finally on the carrier map make all the jets f-35s since it is a little hard to take off using the f-18s

Ok The air training map, great map think with lots of people on it, will be great, everyone likes an old dog fight keep it great map, keep the map.

Boat stunts, Ok big map no ones ever seen owt like it on BF2 but its just to big and with the terrain, no one would be able to find anyone so either out with the map or change its features.

karkand, Ive always said put some choppers in karkand makes it less boring, but 2 choppers hardly is an airmap, more choppers few more attack choppers and 1 or 2 transport choppers, the big truck great more civilian vehicles are needed in the game, makes it have more features and seem more real, Change some features.

Dilian plant and Dragon valley, Aweful maps to start with, adding more things just over did it a deffinate out.

5/10 mod, im looking forward to the C-130 i think the game needs more big planes like that, and maybe some civilian planes, imagine an airliner 757 boeing or summat, it would be awesome, for future mods dont focus on military vehicles, think about civilian planes, cars trucks, and even civilian boats because for one im sick of the RIB its so Boring. A great map idea, a civilian air port with a few airliners, then not far away a military base with ur fighter jets and choppers a great map people would love it. And branch out change the sound effects of things, US intervention the only reason people like that is because the planes sound awesome.

are you serious? it's not supposed to be realistic...

just fun/funny stunts.. and great for practise if you wish to fly around on the actual air maps

it's alright, i just wish on the air trainging map you could see a lil farther, or raise the atmosphere a lil... i dunno. it get's a lil disorienting sometimes. maybe put specs of islands so that you can keep your bearing sometimes. you can never tell if your mini-map is zoomed all the way in or out. please put some kinds of landmarks that can be seen on the minimap. i understand it wasnt meant to be anything more than fun/practice, but being able to orient yourself with a lil ground is not a bad thing either.

overall, i liked it though, cuz i like to fly... plain and simple.

I know that would ROCK! Another thing that would be cool would be like a small-to-medium sized yacht that has a full interior, and one person can drive it, and 20 other people can hop on and run around and have a gunfight on it! THAT WOULD BE THE GREATEST GAMING THINGYMAJIGGER EVER!!!

I don't know about a 757, because it is HUGE, and you couldn't fly it well, as you would be flying it around in circles, but it would be pretty cool if you could have some way to get on the airplane and let someone else fly you around, and you could get up, and knock em out to fly the plane! I hope that they do that, and I agree with you on more Civilian vehicles, like the truck at Karkand, and have some more civilian jets, so they could make 1 airport with a terminal with an interior, with maybe a few Private Jets, a few Cessnas, maybe a sized down 747, and a Hangar, with a Control tower (which would rock this world if there was 32 players in the server with VoIP) and a night Karkand map (keep the roads please, I know they're not effected by lighting but PLZ fix that) and have the airport with runway lights, and 2 different roads on the airstrip, landing, and takeoff. Maybe some police vehicles, firetrucks, and ambulances, and maybe one level which is just one big skyscraper in New York. I would love a level with no weapons, were all you can do is fly, and there is just civilian vehicles, and a new faction for those civilian levels, say like Civilian1, and Civilian2, ok guys, hang with me, I know I said a lot of civilians, but I am just speaking my mind. I hope an AirMAPS employee sees this and makes it come true. I would be eternally grateful.
