    FiringSquad - Armored Fury Interview

The folks over at FiringSquad have recently posted up a new interview pertaining to the soon to be released BF2 booster pack, Armored Fury. Here's an excerpt from the interview:
FiringSquad: What will the new weapons and vehicles be like?

Tom Galt: The new scout helicopters are a real blast to fly, they are the most nimble of all the Battlefield 2 helicopters. Each one has 3 positions; a driver and 2 passengers that hang off the side, brandishing their own firearms. While it was originally intended as an anti-infantry platform, players have already become very accurate with dropping C4 on top of unsuspecting tanks! The scout helicopters also have a radar sweep that the whole team can see, making it a valuable addition to any squad assaulting enemy control points.

The new ground attack jets are a little slower than the existing bombers, making them a little more vulnerable to attack, but also giving them more time on target for the devastating nose cannons. They can also drop four bombs on ground targets before reloading at an airstrip.

Also to note from the interview, Armored Fury is in its final phases of testing. Thanks to Riggz for the heads up on this interview.

 Read the comments at the bottom of the interview. All but about 2 comments are negative in response to Euro Force and their PR guy's idea that just because Euro Force sold and made EA money, it was a success. It's funny seeing what the community actually thinks without fear of getting banned for hate mongering

In my opinion though, $10 is nothing. Even if I only play it for a couple hours I don't feel these boosters are a waste of money.

I am thinking of making a stand, and actually not buying this. Two or three weeks down the line, it'll pretty much be forgotton about and everyone will be back playing Karkand anyway.

I just wish there was another decent game to go to. Quake Wars, Armed Assualt, UT2007 all have no release dates.

I doubt it would make much difference to EA.

No I don't think it'll make a difference either, but it'll certainly make me feel better knowing I didn't waste five quid like I did on Euro Force. Infact, I wish I could give swap EF for AF, it does look the better of the boosters, if only I'd of known.

I don't exactly know what you're getting at with the comic book guy thing, from The Simpsons yeah? What are you trying to say?

Oh right, I get you. Yeah, well I don't like Karkand all that much either, but it's the communitys fav it seems. So many 24/7 Karkand servers, if one of two of them added in the Euro Force and/or Armored Fury maps, life would be slightly sweeter.

Another piece of **** to be delivered, can't wait.

Final stages of testing, I was under the impression these nubs didn't know what that was. Yet again another patch thats up the duff.

This expansion is just like a chick, fun and different for the first few weeks and then you realise she's as annoying as the last one you cheated on. (no offense to chicks). Novelty at best.

Seriously though, every time EA release something they remove another person from buying up and coming products, by demonstrating dismal quality testing.

Re: FiringSquad - Armored Fury Interview

Looks like the DEV's screwed us over with the bomber jets....

Not only do we not receive cluster bombs for the A-10, but we only get four (4) bombs to drop instead of 5 like the other bombers.

FFS, why will I buy this?

Well, I'm not buying anymore of this EA crap. All the stuff that's coming out on booster packs was removed from the original BF2, so they could suck us out.

They are selling a $55 game for 3 times its value, no matter how their PR guys put it on shiny lights.

And in the meanwhile, they release stupid and unbelievably buggy patches! Why don't you charge for the pacthes, while you're at it?!

NEXT TIME, SELL US A DECENT AND WELL FINISHED GAME, INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MILK US OUT WITH "BOOSTER" CRAP!

And by the way...anonymous posts praising EA are not a good marketing strategy. It's all to obvious.

                          P*** off, EA.

                            I was wondering that too.

I would expect they're already planning their booster packs for 2142.
