  • SWAT Mod Update

    The team behind the SWAT mod are back today with another new update. They have two new weapons to show. Have a look:
    It's time again to show another up-date. Today we are showing our FN SPR Swat sniper rifle by Havoc. As we have seen in battlefield 2 you either love the sniper calls or it. For our sniper rifles are a 1 shot hit kill and are very accurate, though reload and the time to get your cross hairs close will be longer. NOTE: this is only how it is for now, it still may change during testing if we see fit.

    Next we have an m-16, this too has been ed by Havoc. As most of you know we also have an m-4 in the mod for swat, the m-16 will have pros and cons as does the m-4 m-16 vs m-4 will be m-16 wins in accuracy but the m-4 will win in the fact that its easier to use with a mounted sight and can go fully auto unlike the m-16's 3 round burst.

    Looks great, but isn't that too much poly?!
    p.s.: I don't know much about modeling/poly count in BF2..

        Be nice if there was weapon sway, time taken to set up your rifle, time taken to adjust your scope for the viewing of your target, and then maybe it wouldn't unbalance the game completely to have an accurate sniper rifle that was 1 shot kill. With BF2 as it is now its gonna be the CS AWP revisited.

            Yeah games haven't done 1 shot kill weapons well at all. CoD2's snipers are just as lame. I think the problem is that they don't have enough zoom so people can get the insta-kill at close ranges, as well as long ranges (usually they make the zoom "perfect"). I think if something like this is implemented that scope trembling (based on stance) needs to be added. Or you'll get more snipers than a 64 man Mashtuur/Sharqi server. Now that's alot of snipers.

              Well also dont forget, this could change after testing, but also most of the fighting will be in-side, and with snipers out site we felt they could use alittle help.

                Should at least make it like PRMM, if you just lay down and shoot then your shot will be off... make it so you have to at least lay there for a few seconds. I'm all for 1 shot kill snipers if its implimented correctly, it's just that chances are, they won't be.

                      it means once you stop moving it will take a alittle long for your crosshairs to adjust to you can shoot accuratly.
