There is a new update posted today over at the Battlefield Pirates 2 mod website. They have recently conducted an interview with Planet Battlefield. Here's a quick snippet:
Well be sure to check out the entire interview as well as the rest of the pictures. Feel free to visit their site.
How many maps can we expect for the first release?
We’re planning on just two maps for the first release, which will be very polished. Shortly after that, we’ll release our next version which will double the amount of maps, and so on. The maps for the first release will be a new map called “Pelican Point”, and a remake of an unannounced remake of a popular bfp1 map. Both maps will offer a good mix of ground and sea combat to please everyone’s tastes.
What vehicles can we expect?
Whole fleets! The BF1942 version of pirates featured ships of all types and sizes, and we aren’t going to disappoint this time around. You may also remember the famed montgolfier (balloon); well our plans for air units this time around will surely not disappoint. While I handle a lot of the generic ship references, our more unique designs all come from Wegvisor and Bibi5000, they are extremely creative and talented so I love seeing what they come up with- though we have to be pretty selective of what we choose to go in game, here are some examples of possible vehicles that may be found in future releases.
