If nobody is defending it than whose fault is that? That is just a result of poor teamwork. Push maps appeal to players who enjoy being in the heat of battle without having to consider the overall map.

I guess it depends on how you view the game. For the fans of the push maps, teamwork is probably defined by how well everybody works together to cap and/or defend a flag.
I have a broader perspective of the game. For me teamwork is defined by how well we as a group control the entire map, not just one flag.
I see BF as more of a strategical game (like Risk) than just another first person shooter.

I've been competing in the BF series since the fall of 2002 because of its diversity, its strong reliance on teamwork, and its requirement for a high level of battlefield awareness. I find it exciting how one minute you're about to cap out the otherside and within seconds suddenly lose all your flags because we weren't paying attention and nobody was defending. Of course it's more exciting when it goes the other way. I enjoy that fast moving pace which requires me to be on my toes.
I admit running to one flag in a huge group like Braveheart is fun, but that type of gameplay will only hold my interest so long.

That's what's great about mods and the effort their developers put into it. They create games that appeal to all the different groups. If everybody like the same things, than we wouldn't have these mods.

During BF1942, FH was my favourite mod (except for some of the push maps that evenually came out), BFV it was POE, and BF2 i'm still looking :)

My only real gripe is losing the health bar makes you lose some of the "realism" imho. I know irl you have no health bar but you definately won't forget you got shot. This morning I kept jumping down stairs and losing some health and snipers kept 1-shotting me because I forgot I was injured. Sure I could just try and remember that I lost health but if I took a 2 story fall I don't think I'd have to remember my legs were broken, or that I has 2 rounds from an m4 sticking in my back. A rather minor complaint is the fact that each kit only has 1 main weapon. I know people complain about the unlocks from bf2 but it does help give some variety to the game. I think prmm may get old more quickly because there's nothing to work for (unlocks) and there's very little variety other than different kits. Maybe if all the gins had been different than the originals from vanilla. To me it feels more like they removed alot of the HUD and swaped some weapons around. Oh yeah, and no blackhawk.

in BF1942 there where no "unlocks", and BF1942 took a very long long time to get "old". Vanilla BF2 got old for me just becasue of the "ranks" and "unlocks".

but we are looking at diffrent ways of getting more weapons avalibal to the players but seeing a MEC guy running around with a L85A1 is not "relistic" now is it? Unless he shot a british troop and took his gun but that is anouther sory.

also Crazycanuck I do see your point but im saying that i personly find it more fun to allways have a hard challange on taking points as in public games you see loads of points not being defended, or beign defended by a weak force due to so many flags you have all your men spread out.

sounds like you dont have enouth HDD space to install the mod.... uninstall some stuff :p

also we are looking at putting limmits on kits like snipers but this is v0.3, not v1. This mod is still in progress.

Ok finding out this mod messed up my BF2, but when ever I reinstall BF2, SF and EF. Before I install the lastest patch, it loads up fine.

But now when I install the full 1.22 patch, BF2 now does not load for me.

one question, why did you remove the grenades from the medic?

i went to throw a nade in a group of guys taking a flag, and imagine my surprise when it went 'poof.'

how could a mod mess up vanilla bf2 when they are installed in totally different folders? no files in your bf2 folder get overwritten or deleted.

NOONE knows how to play this mod...

NOONE gets the idea of SINGLE OBJECTIVE...

                            NOONE plays EXTRACTION at all.
....and if they did, they probably WOULDNT KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT.

For f***s sakes people...get with the f*****g program.

I love this mod, but most of the people that play it, are freakin idiots.

Well it affected my game, and I don't know how. Now I cannot get BF2 fully working, after installing the lastest patch. BF2 worked fine again, before I installed the full 356MB version of the 1.22 patch.

But when I install the 1.22 patch, it causes my game to not load up at all.
