Okay, not propaganda. Almost comical, but mostly stupid looking presentantion of arabian soldiers being unable to hit anybody further than 2 metres away.

Oh, ok ya I know what you mean. I love playing on the MEC side myself (Check my stats). The next Total Clan movie is already planned out, the MEC own it up this time. The next film will have a story, and it's aim is for realism.

If I did want to put sound in the video, I wouldn't of used the sound from the video file - I would have got it elsewhere.

If we got the battlrecorder to work on our server I would not use it. Finding out when that moment happend, fastforwarding to that point in time where the moment happend, and capturing the footage, would be very difficult, and a lengthly process. Also, I never get the camera angle right the first time, almost no one does, so opening the BFR file again, and going through that whole process would take half a year to complete the video. And I would never do that in my life to make a 10 minute video, let alone 5 and a half minutes.
Wrong Wrong Wrong! BattleRecorder is one of the best 3rd party tools out there for BF2. First off let me clear something.

                  dv. exec demo.recordemo :name:

That is the code to activate a demo recording instead of recording the entire game (3 hours>!<) record 2 minutes then when your done type this

                  dv. exec demo.stoprecording

you must be logged in as an Admin in order for this command to work.

Next Note, your ingame audio (while one of the hardest parts to run smooth)
But yes it makes all the difference. Your best best is this. Use the audio you have as a template. be prepared to replace 80-90% of it. The reason being is because when you go to edit it you don't have much of any options other then make it louder and distort it or just cut it.

Your best bet is to open the BF2 folder, find the sounds you want then use one of the many online audio converting tools to create them into .wav files and bring into your editor. (I suggest JetAudio, great free version) Then adjust it's levels to match the adjusted levels of your audio (normally I go -9dpi on audio so it doesn't over take, its just in the backround and in your head but you don't loose focus of the event it's adding to)

Introductions are only that. When you introduce yourself saying "Hi Im Mark" is quick, easy, and gets the point accross. You don't say Hi my name is Mark Blah Blah Blah Ny dog is 3 years Old Blah Blah Blah etc." When making a video an introduction should be no more then 20 seconds, if you look at Vanilla Bf2 intro to it's video it's 8-9 seconds long. Aim for no more then 12 seconds. It's hard to not show off key people but you have to. your main goal in making a video is to Entertian the public and if they care to find out who you are, save it for the end, and add some nice motion in and our to it but again keep your credits short to.

Quality, this is a tuff one. I use about 3 codecs. I suggest BUYING (you know money) DivX at least. It's worth 20 dollars. I also Suggest Quicktime Pro, Render out your video as a uncompressed video from your editor, open it up in quicktime and then with pro you can re-export it as a .mov in various sizes that really keep the quailty up and let you even set a target size to compress to.

                  One last thing with Battlerecorder.
Replay your demo in Battlerecord and select record camera track, then when your done load up FRAPS full version and the play your demo with recorded demo track. This will play back the entire demo with your recorded track AND AUDIO! Take advantage of Fraps Playing and record it. Both video and Audio. This Rocks. You may get bad frame rates but experiment with settings. Even on low it's fast and looks well. Just keep your textures on High and it looks nice. Everything else can be on Medium and low. Experiment for whats best with your rig.

                  hope this helps.

Alright I'll be sure to tell an admin to type that code when I see a Vodnik rushing at me!

Seriously am I ganna get someone to type that in everytime I see an opportunity to have some sort of a 'battlefield moment'? Even if I myself was the admin I wouldn't even do that, on a ranked server especially.

What are you talking about?!? This is for planned film parts not for the online garbage. Im talking about scripted battles and scenes that you can record and stop instead of recording a whole servers time to avoid the lack of a rewind button. I think your the one who made this video read what i typed. It's full of lots of great suggestions and I'll show you what i did soon!

Why should that be a PM? It was meant for you and others. Tried to help you with the "Basics" but honestly I wasn't being rude. And if you knew all of it I wouldn't of mentioned as constructive crit. I just didn't like the video and didn't want to just say that. I wanted to offer help because I love Machinema videos rather then saying it sucks. Said what I ddin't like and where I feel you need to improve with your next one but you are 100% allowed to say, No Mark that's not how I roll.
