      Looks like AF will suck....

I guess I'm just missing it, but is there anything besides planes and copters in AF? Is this a booster for air whores? It turned out that EF was the answer for tank whores. No bloody wonder I only play city and the SF maps these days. Guess I'll put that $10 to better use.

EF and AF are the answers to the Armored addict, thought this was discussed, prefusely... the new planes are the answer to attack the Armor... A-10, Frogfoot, Recon-Heli's for survielance etc...

            What the hell?

its ARMOURED, not ARMOR FURY. = Anything with armor on it.

Could be a bulletproof vest on a cow for all we know. (=armoured) And for christ sake its just a name.

Not to mention just because the only new vehicles are aerial, doesnt mean there wont be land vehicles, it just means they will be all the same **** as we already have in bf2. Because its the same USMC I wouldnt have been supprised if they even bothered giving us any new vehicles. But they did and basically is 1 jet and 1 helicopter per army. Which is nothing.

And the reason people arent excited is because there is no new weapons, that and the littlebird were all I cared about but there is none and they gave us the wrong littlebird.

Sure it is one, but the point people are trying to make is, EA know the ones we like and see all the time, but they go and give us another one.

And also dont give me that BS about it being a rippoff, sure its not worth all the trouble and is a waste, but i mean jesus christ £5.99 how poor are you?

Not much, to add a few new things to your favorite game just incase you get bored of the current maps.

Calling this booster pack "Armored Fury" makes about as much sense as EA releasing "Battlefield 2: Air Force Booster Pack" and then coming up with no new aircraft but 7 new kinds of missile launchers.

Technically, they fly through the air...sooo...

Euro Force should have been about maps taking place in Europe. When people think Europe they think Britain, France, Germany, etc. What we got was Armored Fury. Mostly.

Armored Fury should be about tank battles. What we are (presumably) getting is a chance to drive a few jeeps and tanks around while 6 new types of air vehicles pound the crap out of us. I don't mind the helos, but wave after wave of SU-34 bombs dropping on my head doesn't make for a pleasurable gaming experience. Is EA trying to give us the message that, in modern warfare, tanks are useless compared to air power? YES, THANK YOU. WE GET IT. Now let us play the darn game and get on with fantasyland.

City maps seem to be the most popular, yet EA / Dice seem content to continue to release stuff that people don't seem to want. Just what is going on in that company?

How excited would people be to get a new map pack whose maps are similar in scope to Karkand or Sharqi, and yet are still officially sanctioned so ranks and awards are still in play? Which is more labor (and cost) intensive, designing new vehicles and three new maps or designing six or nine new maps? I'd pay 20 bucks for nine more ranked city maps in a heartbeat.

                  Get with it, EA.

                    Could not agree more.

Just change name to AIR FURY + get it over with.
Ah well.. ... at least mods + custom maps will bring refreshing change to series. Hope Desert Combat + FH come out one of these days.

I didn't play BF42, but I'm sure that Wake Island isn't the only 'Classic 42' map that could be ported over.Likewise, if EA would even consider taking the 'best of the best' of the community developed maps in a contest, refine and polish them and release them in a pack. I'm sure people would be more inclined to shell out ten bucks for half a dozen new ranked maps as opposed to the three vehicle centered maps we've gotten with EF and look to be getting with AF.
