Yeah I was playing it for hours tonight. The server I was playing on was running Wake Island and a map called Airshow with blimps hovering in the sky, but its still all about dog fighting.

Its got new planes including 2 seat bombers on each side. The Wake Island map has some 1918 apcs as well.

All in all its still just a demo. Seems they tweaked the handling of the sopwith camel though. I remember thinking it sucked in the first airshow demo for being such a highly thought of dog fighting machine in its day.

It still cant out manuever the fokker, but it can out power it now. Which I think was the sopwiths strength anyway.

This mod is great !,its the first time i really had fun in bf2

planes handle well and u can do stall turns and stunts

Nope infantry is still only equiped with a knife. Which was kind of frustrating on Wake Island as well, if you were on the British side that can lose the airfield (ala Chinese side in vanilla).

Seems some peoples favorite tactic is after their team takes the airfield, they get the apcs and use the gatling gun on top of it to defend the flag.

Mowing down knife wielding infantry as they try to come retake the flag, and as many times as you try to stab the apcs they will not die :p

Hopefully you will have one of the other flags left with an apc to bring to the airfield.

the smart way to cap large base is do kamikaze on any remaining cannons or vehicles (apc?transport?)

then go in and knife

Probably a combination of both. It only holds 2 people, but it is armored.

APC is an acronym for armored personel carrier though, so I think it fits.
