    BFGeeks Presents BFTV Podcast

The guys over at BFGeeks have recently announced a new feature they are running: BFTV Podcast. With BFTV Podcast you'll be able to watch BFTV on your PSP and Ipod. Here's what they had to say:
BFTV Podcast is the name of this new feature, and is simply BFTV in a format, that you can transfer down to your handheld videoplayer, wether it be an iPod, PSP or an entirely different one you have. The only technical requirement, is that your player can play the .mp4 format, which is standard in most new handheld videoplayers today. The files are about 250-300 MB pr. cast, which should be alright given the current capacity of handheld devices. BFTV Podcast starts out today by releasing 3 of the latest BFTV broadcasts, done on the new BFTV system. This means that the quality is far better than usual; better sound and picture.

Sounds like a great new feature. Be sure to head over here to learn more.

Do we really need I Tunes.. its always the first thing to get nerfed when I amd forced to install Real Player and they sneak the ITunes in under the radar?

Anyway we can download just the MP4 player version?

Most of us arent MAC users although I have access to them we dont all run ITunes on Windows

iTunes isnt as bad as everyone says it is. Everyone who says it sucks has never used it.

Well, this was my first video podcast and I have to say it was a terrible experience.

I have a PIV 2.8 Dual Core with 2gb DDR2 ram and this podcast ran so slow I deleted it immediately. For example, I couldn't jump between points in the video without the entire machine grinding to a halt to process. Perhaps it's my computer, but I doubt it since its blazing fast doing every other thing.

Seriously, is the Itunes based video stuff this crappy???

Oh, and I love Itunes with my ipod so I am hardly not a fan of Itunes.

In my personal experience its best if you can find a codec that is more wide spread that can stream to most web users and BF players alike...

Itunes works but for the format to make it most players besides the I-Pod takes covnersion.. something most users wont understand.

The BFTV Podcast video format is for your handheld device.

If you want to watch our casts on your computer, check out our BFTV Archive: http://bfgeeks.com/?page=bftv_archive

                    That'll do the trick

Thanks! In future it would be helpful in these type of posts you list that information on which link is for what device :) However, I have to login to download any file from your site and I am not interesed in joining yet another site that I won't ever use again.

Nice idea, but the implementation of all this was a little lacking :)

                        Seems that you've misread/misunderstood a few things.

First off, it clearly states in this news, that the BFTV Podcast is in a format that is compatible with handheld devices that can handle the .mp4 format. Hence: "Podcast".

Also, the link to our BFTV Archive (yes, use of our Archive requires that you create a free account and log in), I wrote simply because you where complaining about not being able to view our Podcasts in iTunes.

By the way, you can't download our casts in the BFTV Archive, you can only stream them.

BFTV is absolutely brilliant, and it's nice to be able to download these as well. :)
