good for modders..not sure if itll be fun playing against bots online unless theres a storyline attached

i'm thinking the same way... isn't Co-Op already in BF2? ie. Squads

I wish they would concentrate all their efforts in bug-fixing, making the original game run smoothly and fine tuning it, before they start elaborating on what doesn't work well in the first place.

u would get seriously F^&*ed up stats man, if coop will be on ranked servers....
but then again it makes getting up the ranks slightly easier...cus its kinda gay, u have to spend 3 million+ hours just to unlock 12 weapons....

As long as player limits are in place for servers still there'd be no reason for them not to be ranked. Playing on an empty server with 16 bots and a stat-padding buddy wouldn't get you points, it'd just work as a pasttime while another 6 arrive.

And if you're referring the the common belief that stat padding is simply 'getting lots of points easily' and that killing these easy-to-kill bots for points is unfair, that's like saying DICE should ban ranked servers on conquest maps because it's possible to kill other players with the provided firearms, thus obtaining points. I'm sure the bots will be to a suitable level of intelligence if they ever incorporate them into ranked servers.

Seems they are testing it with 64 players EA and Dice... but with BF2S staff and =DDS= on Operation Harvest.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Co-op just making one side bots? Scchhhhtoooops...how about a little bird? How about a new map or 3? (that doesn't further split the community) How about some civilian vehicles? Auto-retry to join full servers? A new aircraft for the US to combat the J-10? Some objective based maps perhaps? (weapons bunkers anyone?)...or how bout just let BF2 slip completely out of the top 20 of games sales next month, and further the month after that... Either way, it's your money EA. The mods are coming anyway...Battlefield Tek Jansen (2142) will be a flop and Frank Delise is now your opponent. All the above is obvious to us that play the game, get yer head outta yer asses!

A free infantry ONLY map without ingamecheat UAV and bloody irritating artillery strikes (also no vehicles except jeeps) would be very nice (like Berlin or Stalingrad for bf1942) :)

Map 2 should be a free map for the planes (also with a kind of objective like destroying the carrier in Coral Sea for bf1942 or Battle of Britain but better balanced).

Map 3, a map with everything in it except planes like Cean for bf1942.

Map 4, Tank map like Aberdeen for bf1942.

128 players would be nice but I really don't care about a coop mode.

IMHO the problem with the current official maps for BF2 is that they have all kind of vehicles. There is no map that is specialized in something like infantry/planes or tanks.

I just hope it doesn't end up like Counter-Strike when you're trying to find a server to play in but keep picking servers with lots of bots. They should include a filter box that lets you choose whether or not to show servers with bots.
