Rumor: 1.3 Patch To Include Co-Op

Thanks to a member on these boards, <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/member.php?u=805">dadofsam</a>, he has given links to show that EA and DICE may include Co-Op gameplay in the new 1.3 Patch, which is hopefully to be released soon.

After looking into this rumor, I wouldn't see why this couldn't be the case, as it boldy states on one of the <a href="http://www.game-monitor.com">Game-Monitor.com</a> links (found below), that gameplay = gpm_coop.

Co-Op, would be a modders dream, with the new opportunities they have to continue their modifications, but with Co-Op support for Battlefield 2.

This doesn't mean they are releasing the game mode with the patch.

As someone quite rightly pointed out, they could be using the game mode for testing purposes. Also, they may well be testing COOP, but if it is buggy itself then of course they won't release it.

I really don't see why, at this time, that DICE would be thinking about adding a game mode to BF2, when it is well known they have many bugs and issues still left to resolve. If true that it is being released, then I would question their decision making to allocate time to a non-essential addition to the game.

Of course, I would still be pleased to see a new game mode, none the less.

coop is great,makes lan games good.

aghh the bot rapage on 42 and dc was good.

if mods add bot support its a good way to fill up the server,and also good to get some pracy with heli planes ect to players who dont usaly get the chance.

i think its a great idea and should have been in the game from the start,better late than never!!!

and for non belevers,
i play mods like mercs,allied intent,wcc_coop and bf2 64 with bots and it works perfectly.

what i would like to see in the coop mode is avaliblity of all unlocked weapons,this would just add to the great gameplay.

i agree 8v8 (bots)is boring but with a side mod (botchanger)you can add more bots then the game becomes interesting,and more important fun.

thats the point of coop,FUN!!! :)

I like how people get "Uber" excited over a DICE-created game mode, when Mod Teams already made Objective(PoE2) and CTF(DCon)...*sigh*

It would still be nice to have CO-OP, it will really make some of the little mods last longer.

it would be nice for a zombie mod with coop, imagine 60+ AI bots with knives rushing 4 players with guns.

Had not even considered that bots could fill remaining empty slots on server.

Guess as long as these would not display as 'full' on server browse [?]

If they did implement coop mode would you be able to load in like 6 of your friends for some teamwork practice ? or would coop mode just consist of you and a friend Vs Bots?
