First Strike Mod Update

The team behind the First Strike mod are back today with a new update. It's week 7 of their dev diaries and the member in the spotlight this time is 3DEE. Here's what he had to say:

My duties are basically to model, UV and texture player characters. Up til now, things are going really well I have worked 3 characters in my 2-3 weeks of being on the team! These characters are the Scout trooper, atat pilot and wookie.

• The Wookie is 80% done with the texture needing to be finalised by our very own Rybot.
• The Scout trooper is being tested in the engine,
• The ATAT Pilot is being textured as we speak.
• I am now modelling the Bothan Spy!

can't wait. in fact, was playing battlefront II tonight on xbox, and when i saw these pics thought how much better it is gonna look than bfII. cant wait!!!!1

That unskinned character needs a little more work on the body; especially on the legs :)
In his current state he looks like he would just topple over from the weight of his overly large (compared to the rest of his body) helmet. :laugh:

The screenshots of our chracters give them no justification. You have to see them in-game to see the real beauty. That goes for everything we've made actually.
