Experience WWII Mod Update

There is finally a new update posted today over at the Experience WWII mod website. They are showing off some in game shots of their Dodge WC51. Take a look:

Definitely. Bigger Mod teams = Faster Release.

About the Jeep. The model looks good, but the skin is just not up to BF2 standards. It looks very plain and some parts such as logos are blurry/not clear. Also, you could make some of the parts stick out, instead of being 2d/skin.And adding some shovels or backpacks would make it look much more authentic....just my 2c.:)

Sure they might be able to produce some decent stuff, but not physically churn it out fast enough to see a playable public release this side of New Years Eve. The exact same jeep has probably already been produced 2 or 3 times by other WW2 mod teams, I would bet at a higher quality (at least for the skin, as mentioned above). The original XWW2 was released just when everyone was planning to jump over to BF2, and was hardly played by anybody.

No they havent. FH was one of the first BF mods ever announced. Even before there was a demo available. To my knowledge, Forgotten Hope, Eve of Destruction and Codename Eagle are the oldest mods.

humm I think the first XWW2 release was in 2003. And the best thing about XWWII its the hard core realism, not "higher skins"

XWW2, or Soldier 9's realism mod as it was called before is the oldest WW2 mod for Bf1942. And yeah, if you're talking about announced, I don't know, maybe you just announced it to your friends? RELEASED is what counts.

I guess you should keep your mind on other things Augustus, because your memory doesn't seem to be that good :p

yeah i remember playing soldier 9's realisme mod long before FH was released..
havent played it much since FH's release though.. guess thats what really counts.

Think what you Like Shadow Knight, FH, EoD and CEmod are the grandfathers of this community. Don't tell me released is what counts, without FH, EoD and CE (especially CE) there wouldnt have been a BF1942 mod community, it's you you needs to research, not I.
