  • Battlefield 40k Mod Update

The team behind the Battlefield 40k mod have recently updated their gallery with some new images. The following include (in order): The Tau Twin Pulse Carbine Drone, the Tau Piranha, and the Bolter. Take a look:

The Tau Drones are some of my favirote visual items in 40k. Beats anything and everything I use to love about eldar. while the The Tau drone was weak as hell having as many as I could get away with in a squad always was fun.

Games workshops Warhammer 40,000 has been around for 20 years, so we are not really Quake IV.

At the moment the tau drone in the gallery is planned to be attached to the Tau Devilfish APC and the Piranha as turrets

Awesome. I really hope this team picks up somewhere. if not here maybe Quake Wars (not that it looks like it but it may do well) I really would love to see a good War Hammer game, but was very happy to get an excellent RTS version first.

                  Re: Battlefield 40k Mod Update

The new BF 2142 Engine would benifit us a lot because of the current issue we have with walkers, we would also be able to cloak the XV15 Stealth too.
Just a shame what happened with mech tactical mod, i'm glad they found the new engine they wanted to make their mod on.

I know more of an extention of the capabilities an updated engine, like bf vietnam was to bf 1942.

Anyhow Asylum has recieved a lot of constructive critism over his Tau drone texture heres the updated texture.

I swear, if I only I texture like I could paint those models, I'd join up right away. If only my tablet still worked...

I had done a Crimson Red + ink, and dark tan on my Tau. Think we may see alternative color schemes, say, on certain maps? That would be keen.

On a side not, I'm also very glad to see some of the newer models that have been released by GW in the mod.
