BattleGroup Frontlines Mod Update

The team behind the newly created BattleGroup Frontlines mod have posted a new update today. They are showing off some new media. Here's what they had to say:

Well well, I bet you all thought our merge announcement was just an April Fools joke. Well the jokes on you, it`s for real! You may need to sit down for this next part folks, so don`t say we didn`t warn you. Not only are BG and FL merging, Warfront will be joining us as well! Yes you read this correctly, Battlegroup2, Frontlines, and Warfront will all be working under the same name. The idea to merge was first proposed in January and soon after the teams started the first discussions. We have had many discussions over the past few months, and we`ve come to an arrangement everyone thinks will benefit us and the mod community.

Now you may ask what scenario we are going to develop at first. Battlegroup2 and Warfront started to develop an Eastern-front-scenario, while Frontlines started to do a Normandy-scenario. We decided to primarily continue working on the Eastern-front-scenario, but we won´t stop working on the Normandy-scenario, which means that soon after the release of the Eastern-front-scenario we will be able to provide you a second scenario, which will be Normandy. But enough talk, now onto what you wanted to see, the pictures.

Three mod teams are going to be working on one mod. Nice. I really hope it will speed up the process by a lot. :)

FieldWagon is gonna be a nice addition as an Ammo/Med Station.

FG42 + PIAT look sweet as well.

Just wanted to point out something.. All renders have a Red Star(USSR?) on them. Is that part of the mod's logo or is it just a mistake you made?

We don't have a logo yet we will we the new website is finished. But I believe the red star is just for looks

Wow it is for real! I thought the BattleGroup mod for 1942 was great, will have to check out what happens next.

This Is Perfect news. I am so glad thier will be 1 really great WW2 mod(To compete with the great Forgetten Hope) If €A/DIC€ learn from this decision themselves we would be even better off.

Great news! I always thought it was silly having 4 different mod doing the same thing :p.

Well, FH2 and BattleGroup Frontlines are 2 mods, and I'm sure gameplay will be different, both fun in their own way, just like FH and BG42

So is it Battlegroup Frontlines Warfront, or just Battlegroup Frontlines? How many team members do you have know total, compared to FH2? Will you or have you attempted to combine with FH2 previously?

It is "Battlegroup: Frontlines", or "BG:F". Warfront's name won't be carried into the mod, but this is a small price to pay in return for the team we have created by this merger. Thank you all for your positive feedback, and we hope you will enjoy Battlegroup: Frontlines when it is released :)
