I'm curious to understand why you are holding IW's feet to the fire but willingly gave Crysis a free pass. Why didn't you feel the need to roast Frontlines: Fuel fo War?

Did you guys have a sudden attack of journalistic integrity?

As if Frontlines became a great success.

I guess you've never read my opinions on the overhyped tech demo that is Crysis?
And I didn't even give FFoW the time of day. I wouldn't install that game for free at this point. Well, maybe I would. Considering I am playing MW2 right now because someone gave me a copy for winning a competition...

I thought that i read in an interview with IW that they called the PC community nerds for wanting dedicated servers, or calling people FAGS because they dont want nade spam, Is it me or has IW/Activisions arrogance grown too far and they need to be put in their place.

You guys have obviously not heard about IW charging for the game like wow have you? Pay to play MW2? Glad I stuck with my boycott, many of my clan mates gave in and got the game, I feel sorry for them.

GamesRadar+ takes you closer to the games, movies and TV you love.

                    General Rant
                    Hey guys,
I was a very vocal Anti-IW member once the news broke about the lack of Dedicated Servers. The sad part was, the day before that broadcast, I had ordered over $200 in Servers, and Pre-Ordered the game. (All the money I then got back).

That day, instead of coming home from work and relaxing, resulted in me sitting in front of the computer from 4PM to 10PM getting XFIRE's left and right from fellow gamers about this ridiculous greed-driven change that Infinity Ward was implementing. I was outraged, and am still outraged. When I hear the CFO of Activision stating..

According to the Activision CFO, there is a demand from its core fanbase to pay for additional services.

"Our gamers are telling us there's lots of services and innovation they would like to see that they're not getting yet. From what we see so far, additional content, as well as all the services Blizzard is offering, is that there is demand from the core gamers to pay up for that," he said.
... It makes me wanna go take IW's lovely Spaz Shotgun and go shove it up Mr. CFO's arse.

After torrenting the Single Player, it seems the dress up that Modern Warfare 2 has, did do its job and I caved in and ended up buying the game. Me of all people, I complained about IW's stupidity for probably a total of 24 hours, if not more. I was on the forefront of InfinityWard's forum flaming of Petitioning for Dedi's (That got deleted anyways) and I made people aware of their failure, and Activision's failure.

Of course, Infinity-Ward did not act alone. Blizzard's Battle.Net is a huge instigator in this disaster and it is changing the PC Gaming community in a very negative aspect.

                    Multiplayer Experience
Now, according to my XFIRE Profile, I have played Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer for 22 Hours out of the 36 hours I have owned the game. I love it, truly do, but almost feel like I am getting bored of it already! Call of Duty 4 attracted my attention for ~1,000 hours and yet, I almost am starting to feel bored playing online in these maps.

                    1) They are bigger. That is a plus!
                    2) The graphics are mind blowing. That is a plus!
                    3) At least Ground War's supports 18 man servers, which I find to be pretty good. That's a plus!

However, the lack of Map Choice is gross neglegance. I ended up playing the same damn map 4 Straight Times today because as the map ends, it merges to another game, and oh, lookee here, it's that same damn map... etc etc!!!!

You know how irritating that is??

                    Player Parties
                    :shakehead: :shakehead: :shakehead: :shakehead:
                    W!! T!! F!!
Talk about a failure. This is so pathetic, it is laughable. As I get 5 friends into my "Party" in the Lobby, that I then click "Find Game" and click the gametype, it ends up messing up about 25-35% of the time. Merging games will somehow kick out part of my party, leave me and few of my party members in a server and tell the others it is full .. or, we get random errors that we are Unable to Connect to Host.

Yeah.. for someone who hops on the computer 30 minutes every other night to play a couple rounds of MW2 ... sure, IWNet is perfect (As long as it doesn't crash/get attacked), but for the majority of PC Gamers who at least have online friends to game with ... What a horrific system.

It's nice when it does work, as it puts us on a team and 9 times out of 10, shows all your party in "Blue" colored instead of your teams normal "Green" to separate them apart from the pubbers but COME ON! Show just a teeny bit of love for us PC Gamers IW! You idiots. :dead:

                    What Can Be Improved?
                    1) Oh, whose the host? Well, we don't know! There is no icon to show who is hosting, so when someone quits and the host gets lost .. well, how were they supposed to know in the first place that they were the one hosting? :shakehead:

                    2) I rather not need to invite my friends into my "Party" 5 times before we can connect to a server, to then play in a round that seems to last on average, 5 Minutes. :shakehead:

                    3) Merging parties, games, hosts.. whatever the hell it is, is RETARDED! It leaves parties broken up (Which then defeats the purpose of parties) and ends up going through a lot of Intermission time before a Match even starts. Oh, one person leaves, whoops, guess we need to merge you to another group. :shakehead:

                    4) Maybe Vote on what Map to play? Generally, Vote to Skip never happens so allow people the right to vote. I can't tell you how many times I hear "OMFG, We just played this map! >.<!!!" :shakehead:

                    5) Dedicated Servers? Of course, Activision in particular is too caught up with shoving dollar bills up their arse to understand what PC Gamers are all about, but who knows, maybe someone can cause a riot or take a hostage and demand Dedi Servers? I highly recommend the latter. :shakehead:

                    6) Get your heads out of your @sses. :shakehead:

                    7) Lean! It isn't difficult to institute lean. I watched first hand today what a Nuclear Bomb does. There is nothing "Tactical" to dropping a Nuke on the enemy and your team. :dead: I much rather have an enemy poke his head out from around the corner then drop a nuclear bomb and destroy the world. Dee Dee Dee. :shakehead:

                    Overall
I think this is one of the best games I have ever played, though it feels "Unpolished" and "Unfinished". If they took the Console Communities schwantz out of their mouth and their "v" for 5 minutes and really talked to PC Gamers, they could definitely get this game right.

Do I think it'll happen? No, they enjoy Console Creame blown all over their faces far too much, but I can dream, can't I?. :hmm:

                    -Over and Out! :salute:

I personally enjoy the game. All aspects of it are great except for the lack of dedicated servers. But I haven't really experienced too much lag. Only down side is the player cap.
