Just plug it in (assuming it's USB) and it should work unless you need to install drivers.

Then in BF2 go to OPTIONS>CONTROL>HELICOPTERS and then program the buttons.

k dude.... your joystick.. assuming it was made in the 20th or 21st century, should have a usb attachment. plug this sucker into your comp, and it should be deteced in no time... then just open up bf2.. go to options > controls > then click on the aircraft tab and set your buttons and stuff.

Joystick will give BF2 a bit more realism for sure :)

A plane works so much better with a joystick, a helicopter can go with keyboard/mouse better for me.

No man! Better yet, get a mac mouse! Dude that would be skillz!... eh fak that man get a fork! You can stab people with it too! (in game! ofcourse!) heck... hell you could use fork and spoon!
