How do you install and play mods?

Such as the mods you can download from EA website? I find lots of info on creating mods, but even with Search I haven't come across anything that tells me how to install them and play them. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?? Thanks!!

most have an .exe, just run that and open the shortcut that comes with it.

Okay, thanks y'all. I never noticed an executable. I just figured it had to be "hacked" into the game files somehow.

Nope, if you look at the folders, BF2 its self is a mod, it runs seperates from the engine just as all mods run speperate from the engine, that is how you can play mods without affection BF2 or other mods.
