Map load error at 14%, "2" turns into white hourglass?

Hello everyone, anyone else had this occur?

Map load only reaches 14%, then I get a white hourglass and nothing more happens. When I Ctrl-Alt-Del to get Task Manager, I have BF2 in the Applications tab, and another saying Memory Error...

Before I go out to purchase RAM, as most of you know, with Windoze, the error msgs often have nothing to do with the cause of the error itself.

Just wondering if some of you had come across this before and had found that the prob was something other than a physical RAM problem?

May not be of any help, but the only time I have had a memory error is when there hasn't been enough page file space for BF2. You can fix this by a) like you said get more RAM or b) Adjust your page file limit

My swap drive was too small, and so was the swap file on it. I've increased the swap file size, and moved it to a bigger drive.

I think that was the prob, seems to be solved now...

You're a multi-support guy, I guess...

Same prob cropping up again, swap file seems ok... guess it must be a hardware (memory) prob, or could it be something else, any one have any ideas?
