No. I've been thinking about it:laugh: . But it is just a game and plus you get pts for whipping out a wrench and repairing a smoking piece of steel, how cool

The supply crate basicly screws the engineer out of a job and makes it nearly a worthless kit..

Don't forget about the supply guys and medics. Expect it takes along time to ammo up and refresh you and it can not revive you.

i need 100 more repairs in order to get the medal (1000 needed), then i'll NEVER play engineer again

I was wondering there is a class in USMC,MEC,CHN etc etc called an engineer. he has the proper tools to fix the damn tanks...

how would a box repair a TANK!

I understand once someone run out of ammo goes next to the box and being resupplied...like he taking some ammo from it.... BUT A BOX FIXING A TANK!

                IT'S AN OUTRAGE!!!

                thank you..
i agree too often a tank abttle comes down to whos commander is on the ball and drops supply crates on him. I think crates should be resuplly only not repair

                  Re: crate repairs or engineers?

if im in armor i dont rely on the boxes...if commander does drop one that is convenient i will make sure to protect it till im repaired... but im more of a fan of ducking back behind a building and repairing to full in tank battles...that way the enemy tank thinks im running to hide and go find a supply box. then i pop out like rambo and do my battle cry only to find out i forgot to look for the c4 guy. DOH!!!

If the team is any decent, eventually they all will respawn as AT and attrit the hell of the armor. 3 armor manned by enginneers can be defeated by 10 AT'ers.
Depends of course if those engineers are not killing the 10 AT'ers

I think it would be a fair for the supply crate fixed armor if it did it at the same speed that it restores life to infantry. Then an AT can kill a tank that is camping a supply crate, but it would take most or all of his ammo if he didn't destroy the crate first.

AT mines work great. Just throw em under the apc if you can get close enough. Its like C4 only you don't have to hit the switch before the APC shoots you. I like to mine crates I see laying around. It is great armor bait. As far as the engineer kit being useless, I have the most kills with engineer and I have only been playing with it for a couple weeks. It took me 5 months to get the Snipers kills I got with Engineer kills in two weeks. Check my stats fro HTU_TheEndofWar if you don't believe me.

                          Engineer tips from Endo:

                          1. Drop an ONE AT mine at the entrance to bases with narrow openings. people just drive over em willy nilly

                          2. Booby trap your own vehicles. If an enemy jumps in KABOOM!!! god I love that! dosn't work with FF for mine turned on though so...

                          3. Boobytrap vehicles at the enemy bases!

                          4. Pick up mines that are pooly placed or the enemies, keep yourself supplied.

                          5. Don't die! Give your mines time to work. Go hide somewhere and use hand grenades to take out the occasional enemy who passes by. Snipe with your pistol from long range, ocassionally you'll get the kill becasue someone else has shot them up already.
