Grand Theft BF2

Getting roadkills in BF2 is nothing new... but it's something I've been doing more of lately. I'm finding it's actually a very powerful tacitc on some maps to just jump in a car and go run people down. It disrupts the enemy badly and most folk don't even bother trying to take you out other than spraying a few rounds in your direction.

I was inspired to new levels of roadrage when I noticed and enemy driving all over the place runnin down our guy... then turned in my direction. I dodge behind a tree, let him plow into it, then stepped around and gave him a shotgun blast at point blank (good 'ol basic engie pump). I stole his buggy and went for a rather productive joyride.

This carjacking sent me into gigglefits as I started thinking about how GTA-like the whole thing was.

Since using your fenders as a weapon isn't something that's been yakked about much 'round here, I thought I'd make a thread on it for people to share their love/hate for roadhogs.

ya, i run ppl down sometimes when im trying to cap a flag i think is onoccupied...or just rolling along and i see a suport guy hiding on the side...get him out of the way.

speaking of grand theft...i was goin along in my apc one...someone spotted 2 snipers close by me...so i parked my rig, hoped out, went up the hill, knifed them both...turned around, and someone drove away in my apc

roadkills are the best when they dont even see it. nothing beats the joy of knowing that somewhere that person is throwing a fit in front of their screen.

Road rage all the way baby :) Gotta love the road kills. I was in fits of giggles when I tried to for my final 5 roadkills to get my vet transport on Kubra. I was doing doughnuts in a buggy around intake, mowing them down. Funny stuff. I think the highlight was when I slammed into a tank, exploding, after getting my 5th kill due to not being able to see through the tears of laughter.

I love running people over, but when I slam into someone, they live, even when they get pinned between a Humvee going as fast as it can and the nearest wall or building, I get rather upset because by all means, they should be dead.

I won't make 'em 'cause all the R2s know I'm just as nuts behind the wheel as you. I always get a laugh when people baulk at the idea of hoppin in our cars. Badge of personal honor.

I know I've annoyed a few would be hit-and-runners in my time. If you time it really well, you can pull off a perty cool action hero move by jumping onto a moving car's hood, then IMEDIATLY jump again to clear the rest of it. I don't really recomend practicing this tho... desperation move only. :p

As for getting fender kills, sometimes the physics is a little odd. I've hit guys full on only to see them bounce away unharmed and other times barely nudged someone to get a kill.

I'm all for it in Vodniks & Humvees, as it means i can laugh at them when i go prone just before they hit me and they don't harm me... plus i then get to PKM them in the back!...

Oh yeah... gotta say it. My favorite road kills are the ones where you catch someone right on the crest of a ridge. It's a beautiful thing watching your victem fly a good 60 feet... especially when you send 'em out to sea on Wake.

Seeing a speeding vodnik veer around a corner, horn blasting, and sending three guys flying through the air, is one of the best things bf2 has to offer.

Oh yea, roadkilling is fun. I like ramming people into the walls and crack their backs.

I also enjoy flying off cliffs like superman.

Has me in giggles too when I say on TS "Jump in" and all of TS goes "Ohhhh noo Mrs Ill pass" they trying to tell me something you think? Pikers:laugh: Just because I have crashed my buggy into the side of a hill (with it exploding) to run over a sniper, or Ive gone hooning in dalian plant down the water crossing to end up flying over a bump and landing in the water on more than one occasion (killing my teammate who failed to retreat fast enough) or because they get in my c4'ed jeep only to, again, not bail in time..doesnt make me a bad driver does it :laugh:

btw wasn't there a gta mod being developed for bf2? it was called Dice City, what ever happened to that?

Next time im on karkand im going to spend the entire time ina Jeep :laugh:
