Same thing is happening on both PCs the game is installed on both patched to full.

anyone else have this problem and fix it?

Check your software firewall config. It cannot get out as the firewall is blocking the outbound bf2.exe from accessing the internet. If you check the configs/logs to the firewall, you will see an entry for bf2.exe. You need to allow it. Also allow it to act as a server.

I would give you examples for the Windows Firewall, but I use ZAPro and ATM do not have access to a machine running the default firewall.
