Do the Defibrillator Paddles have a 'friendly fire' effect?

The reason I ask is I was playing as a medic on Karkand last night, supporting a squad of Snipers along the river. I was performing a fair number of heals and revives, and all seemed to be going well.

But one time, I heard the familiar "MEDIC" yell, and ran over to revive what I thought were two downed snipers. I ended up getting one revive score, and one punish for a TK! I'm guessing one of the 'dead' snipers must have been alive but lying prone, and my defib killed him. Is that possible?

I would have to say yes. Any weapon that can kill your enemy can also kill your teammate. even the fixed claymores. Your team can't trigger them, but if an enemy does and a teammate is in the blast zone....t/k.

I can't tell you the number of times that I have revived someone and, immediately, another medic will try to revive the same person (like trying to steal the revive from me) yet that person doesn't die again.

So, from my experience, I really don't think that you can kill your teammates with the shock paddles. . .or, at least, you can't kill them within the first few moments of them being revived.

trauma did the shock paddles and during testing they kept killing the person they just revived on accident

so shock paddles cannot kill freindlies

you cannot kill a team mate with the shock paddles.

As far as the enemy i just dont bother killing with shock paddles, if im that close im using my knife, knife kills always feel good, besides im in medical school and killing with the paddles is against my hippocratic oath

Weird...
Maybe I had accidentally TK'd someone else before that, and they just waited several seconds before punishing. Good to know that it's not possible to TK with the defib, though. Thanks!

can the red/blue bug affect whether you can shock your teammates?

i know you can't tk with the paddles, but could the red/blue bug cause you to be able to?
