Random "CONNECTION LOST" problem after the patches 1.2X! Please HELP!

Hi guys!
I have two problems actually and I think they are linked because the do almost the same:
- first: after a period of playing without ANY SWAP, suddenly the HD starts to swap for few secs., sounds loop and after it you are sent back from the server with the message: "CONNECTION LOST", if you reconnect it won't happen anymore.

- second: when I join the first game after having started the PC, when I hit "Join the game" my HD start swapping for 5 secs., sounds loop and then I can start playing... IF I EXIT THE SERVER, REJOIN, EXIT BF2, REJOIN it does not happen anymore, just the first game. If I reset the PC yes, it will re-happen of course. NOTICE: in game it NEVER swaps.

BEFORE THE *** 1.2X patches I had not these problems... I have tried EVERYTHING:
- DOWNclocking my PC (below stock)
- downgrading my video settings (BF2)
- downgrading my audio settings (BF2)
- changing the size and the HD of swapping\paging file
- reinstalling BF2 several times in different HDs
- changing video and audio drivers and also chipset+IDE drivers.
- defragging the HDs several times

Notes:
1. Windows UPDATE is Already OFF
2. NO FIREWALLS
3. Perfect signal, always full bandwidth (ISDN 128K)
4. NO wireless.
5. NO Dual Core AMD Processor.

My hardware configuration:
Daily: MB MSI Neo2 Platinum@3X HTT (1.C TCCD) CPU AMD Athlon 64 3700+@270*11=2970Mhz (1,45V) C by Zalman 9500L RAM 2*512Mb GeIL Ultra-X PC3200@DDR540 DC 2,5-3-3-7-7 (2,8V) GC Asus V9999GE 256MB DDR3 @Ultra 16/6 415/1130Mhz (84.25) AC RealTek ALC850 (3.85) + Creative 5.1 (T5400) HD 2*Maxtor 80GB SO W XP (SP2) PS Enermax EG465AX-VE SPi R: 26s 3DMark R: 6020 (05) UNDER (03)

NO WAY TO SOLVE... I really tried everything. I hope in you!

2 questions for you:
- I already know other people have the same problems, DO YOU ALSO?
- Do anyone manage to solve it?

Same problem here since newest patch. Random "lost connection with server". Dont know either what to do. Its patch problem i think, never this happened to me before

I have the same problem, but that supposedly fixes it. Unfortunately I am not that hardcore in computers so I don't know what its talking about.

Nah... we can enter servers... "Connection losts" are random... btw I have no firewalls so it doesn't deal nothing.

hey im getting the same exact problem...i will join a game for about 5-10 minutes...start enjoying myself then i get a connection lost...when i try and join any game i am denied access to the servers....

what the hell is this about....???????????...man and i dont know how to mess with ports and all that...that stuff is too confusing!!!!!

the portworading stuff is not that hard, check out this link: http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm
choose your router (adapter) and then the game and it will tell you what to do.
I did this and it did not help much for me. I had the same problem and read somewhere to try turning off windows wireless zero config (you will not loose your wireless connection) I did this and it works well, almost totally resolved the issue for me. to turn it off:
right click my computer, choose manage then services and applications then services and finally wireless zero config. select it and choose stop, when you are done playing choose restart. I get disconected once a day now instaead of every 10 min.
I also have norton internet which I disable when I play but I really have not noticed a difference when I forget to turn it off.

AMD 3200+
2 Gig ram (resolved video stutter for me)
ge force 6800
linksys wusb54gs wireless adapter

update punkbuster.... usually does the trick.. belive me.. if not, something else is wrong.. punkbuster update is a must tough...

You turned EAX off in your Audio options, correct? Enabling EAX without a dedicated or compatible soundcard has been known to cause the exact behavior you are experiencing.

Also, be aware that the 1.2 patch for BF2 re-enables EAX if it was previously turned off.

EAX is turned off... same behaviour with it on.
