Things are not as bad as they seem :)

The game is really quite enjoyable. If it wasn't, none of us would be playing. If you have put in countless hours playing, there must be a reason.

I was thinking about all the complaints about lack of balance and certain weapons needing to be nerfed or buffed and came to the realization that it is pretty well balanced at the moment.

Obviously ANY class can do something or get in something to kill someone in one shot. Some require more skill than others, but there are just as many that require little skill as there are that require a lot of skill.

They can all be avoided! There is a counter to everything.

    - Artillery - Listen for it and get out of the traffic area. Send spec ops to blow them up.
    - Grenades - Shoot the other guy first or throw one of your own.
    - Grenade launchers - Same as above
    - Claymores - Pay attention to where you walk. Medic can revive you. (Destructable claymores will balance this out even more. Next patch hopefully)
    - AT mines - Pay attention. Go around or have an engie remove.
    - Knife (normally .... and all classes have this one shot kill weapon) - They need to get close. Pay attention to your surroundings. Shoot them or stab back.
    - Sniper rifles - Snipe the sniper
    - AT rockets - They are slow. Move out of the way. Let your armor take care of them. Shoot the guy.
    - Run over by a vehicle - Stop running around in the middle of the street :P
    - Landed on by a parachuting enemy - Bad luck ... won't happen often. You can try it to get even ... LOL
    - Pushed off a ledge .. LOL - This is a joke, but it happens sometimes
    - Jet bombs and guns - Get in an AA emplacement or vehicle or get in a jet yourself.
    - Chopper rockets and guns - Same as above.
    - Tank round - Stop running in front of tanks. Play as AT, Spec Ops, or engie.
    - TOW rockets - Slow moving and innacurate.
    - C4 - Keep your eyes open for it.
    - Defibrilators (I think these are one shot ... never tried myself) - Shoot the dude.

As aggravating as getting killed is, it happens. One shot kills happen and getting ripped to shreds by a support gun happens. No need to get overly worked up about it. Some weapons are stronger and some are weaker. THEY CAN ALL KILL.

The more I play, the more I enjoy the game. Learn how to avoid and react to certain things rather than complaining about them. While there is nothing you can do about being stuck on a bad team, there is plenty that you can do to learn how to avoid certain situations and try to help out your team.

Getting raped by armor? Spawn as AT or spec ops. Spawn elsewhere if there is another point available. Sneak back up on it.
Stuck in your last base? Squad up and break out. It works.
Tired of claymores? Lay some of your own, kill the sniper, or squad up with a medic for now.
Tired of bunny hopping? They are easy targets because they can't shoot back.

Know your role! If you insist on using a supporting kit (support or medic), I certainly don't care that you run around and kill, but please know that teammates will look to you for SUPPORT. Revive when possible and drop medic and ammo bags.

Pay attention to the mini map! Good for supporting players to see where players in need are, but also allows you to keep an eye on teammates and flags. Flag gone neutral? Get your butt in there and get it back before running away to the next flag. Watch for the red dots pointed out by the commander or teammates and if they are within your vicinity, do something about it. Spot for your teammates as well.

Bottom line ... try to enjoy the game. Anything one person can do, everyone can do. That's balance. If someone can do it better, it's not because it's unbalanced, but because they are more skilled at it. Practice some more and you'll be there too.

I agree that there could still be a little tweaking done on things such as AA missles and the like, but it really is fairly minor. The bigger concern should be bugs that are still in the game.

While i totally agree with you.

The only real problem with the game is teamwork, if the other team has it, and no matter how hard you try yours dosent, then you dont have a chance and it kinda ruins it.

I strongly believe that there is a great counter for everything, even the jets that people are still complaining about. If AA dosent work for you then at least spot the plane so that other planes or AA vheicles can take care of it.

Yup .... a lame team can ruin the game, but that is an issue with the people, not with the game. :)
