Cool. Why didn't you say that to begin with? Rather than slamming a new player who is lacking the mad skills that you purport to have, why not just suggest they practice vehicle mastery in single player or on a empty local server? Tell them that is how you mastered the given vehicle. Maybe even offer to let them sit backseat and see how things are done.

One thing you might find out about taking a civil approach to something is how responsive that people can be when faced with courtesy.

I'm a noob and I paid the same for this game as everybody else; if I want a damn plane, or heli or whatever and I get there first, I'm taking the frigging thing. This is a game first and foremost and if your getting your testicles all tied in a knot over having to wait for a damn vehicle then maybe you shouldn't be playing games to begin with...evolve a little more, perhaps. That said, I never take planes or heli's anyway because I don't have a joystick and I can't fly the damn things on the keyboard. But when I get a joystick, don't bitch to me about taking a plane if you've got a "higher rank" than me....because I just might tk you for the sheer enjoyment of it. I'm serious man, people getting irate about games is disturbing... Oh, and in anticipation of the flame to follow: I do practice in single-player, and if I'm just screwing around, I do it in single player too, or on servers where everyone else is jacking about.:)

No flames from me. Welcome lil ronnie. Leave it to the new player to state the best response. When the day comes that you are a super player like the general purports to be, remember what you said today and let the new guy have the vehicle. Send him a quick note of encouragement and advice so that he'll be better next time.

i like to play for fun, as do many others, ppl like the original poster kinda ruin that fun by whoring the vehicles, using some arrogant, self-serving, self righteous, excuse.....like "im better than you noob"

i suggest you try to be part of the solution, and not apart of the problem, and help your fellow BF2 player out, new to the game or not, they have the right to learn against humans...

dont complain about 'noobs' if you arent willing to help them learn and grow, ppl like you ensure ppl will have a harder time learning, resulting in them being noobs....understand the cycle, complain about noobs, and treat them like shiot, they will always be noobs, treat them like ppl, and help them learn, they will be skilled in short time

Your probably one of those Low ranked players who always gets owned by high ranked players, and cant handle the fact you get owned all the time, and call high ranked players stat padders, right sure, just because they put more time in to the game and have gained skill through putting more time in to the game, all of a sudden they are stat padders, that makes total sense you moron.

the word "noob" has lost any meaning it once had......when somone in a server calls another a noob, it could mean so many things, that quite frankly i wont even know what he's saying when he says 'noob'

a noob is:

a. somone who sucks at a game
b. somone who is new to a game
c. somone who p!sses ppl off, causing grief to other players
d. a person who is better than you, and kills you alot
e. a person you killed
f. somone who whores a vehicle
g. someone who is waiting for a vehicle with you
h. somone you are insulting/arguing with

It surprises me sometimes how it seems like many people develop so much hubris about their gaming skills, like it translates to something in real life. If you aren't getting paid to play a game then your skill in it has no bearing in the real world.

better to die a few times and say "i died cos i was noob" rather than "im a gunnery sergeant and i died cos i dont know how to fly these things"

its a game, there having fun, if youve ever played a game like monopoly, i imagine u call the banker a noob and have a tamptrem when you loose!
