Shooting down UAV ....why take the time?

This was an interesting addition to the game but whats the point in taking the time to shoot down the UAV?

My thoughts....if you shoot down the UAV you should get points for destroying commanders assets and the UAV should take 5 times longer to become available to the ememy commander.

Agreed. Shooting down takes too long. I'd rather just kill someone instead of always going for the UAV. I mean, even AA tanks can nearly hit it.

I've shot them down when I wasn't currently engaged with an enemy. You don't get points, but it does end the UAV cycle early and blinds their commander. I wish they would have put a point value on it though, like the other commander assets.
