Your "deaths" under knife is times killed while having the knife out.

Nobody was talking about deaths. They were talking about the number of recorded "hits" they have with a knife vs. the number of recorded kills. Since a knife kills in one hit, the numbers should be the same, but it would seem everyone has a few more hits than kills. My best guess, as I said before, is that the extra hits are coming from knifing occupied vehicles.

I must be having a dyslexic day. Most people here have more kills than hits, so my occupied vehicles theory doesn't work for that. My own stats are off in the other direction, a few more hits than kills, so thats why I was thinking vehicles. Not sure about the more kills than hits, knifing two people in one shot would be pretty memorable and I think people would know if they had done that, even then if it hits two people in one swing it should still techically register a hit for each.

I see what you mean apparantley I have done it quite a few times. I do recall 1 occassion where I thought I killed 2 guys lying down with 1 swing.

0.96 hits per kill

i think this has already been said but maybe its something to do with getting kills via claymore or AT mine sometime after they were laid when u had your knife out. Maybe this tricks the server. Or maybe something to do with commander kills while having your knife out. It seems rather too convenient that its always 0.96-0.98 ratio though
