Hi, i know you can shoot down the uav in 1.2 onwards, but how do you do it??

the MG's on the buggies (FAV) work best for me, although I rarely bother.

I don't even bother. We should get points for taking it down, since we are destroying a commander asset.

Any weapon works against it, but it's just a matter of how long it'll take to destroy it using that weapon. You could take it down with an M4, M95, but like the above said, the mounted MG's on vehicles work the best. It's difficult to get the MG to look up high enough to hit the UAV though.

One thing, Ramming the UAV with the Helicopter or Jet will kill you, but leave the UAV intact IIRC.

ye MG's work best. also the machine gun on planes work well.

to bad stingers dont work on it

The mobile AA stoves it in nicely...i think it shud be able to be knocked out by the static AA too (would add a small extra element of strategy)

Step 1: locate UAV
Step 2: remove shoe
Step 3: throw shoe at UAV
Step 4: laugh at enemy commander because his UAV got shot down by a shoe

I seem to take personal enjoyment anytime i can do somthing that annoys the opposing commander. Being able to shoot down the UAV is just another thing i get to do to to achieve that goal. If you are in an AAA tank and the UAV is hovering over you, then there is no reason why you shouldn't shoot it down. Takes a second and prevents those pesky heli/jets from being able to snuff you out.

I took it out once because, just by luck, got hit by arty and my corpse flew up and took it out. I dont suggest using this way though.

I can never hit the darn thing. I'll keep shooting at it till it *poofs* away.

I tell myself that it was my excellent marksmanship that destroyed it, when in fact, it just ran outta gas.
