It makes me so annoyed to stab someone and not have the hit register.
Especially since I am going after my basic knife badge.

Why do you have to get 7 knife kills IAR when to get basic pistol you need 5 kill IAR.
It seems a liitle off to me but that is just my opinion

Yeah, that could be possibly it.. But is it also normal if the player resists 3 slashes in a row..?

yeah, I sparred with a clan mate on unranked settings and he called out each time he hit me with a dust poof, and it was around 3-4 before he scored damage on me.
if you move around a lot and have armor on (assult/anti-tank and support?) your more likely to get hit less often imo.

This has been frustrating me for quite a while. It's been happening more and more often. Usually, when I knife someone from a dive, or stab them quicky, all I see is dust. They don't die. I also often get them numerous times in a row (record was SIX times) with the knife (hear and see the stab), and yet they do not die. It's not my frame rates because I get over 70+ FPS most of the time. Does this happen to anyone else? Any solutions? I'm tired of trying to knife because this happens more than half the time..

happens to me but usually only to support and anti tank kits. This might be like this because they have heavier armour

Happens to me all the time. Has kept me from getting my knife badge.

Crawl up behind them, and knife 'em in the shins.

Or, if you're really bold & lucky, run up while they're reloading and knife 'em in the face.

Never had a blatant failure-to-hit with either of those techniques, but you have to choose your times, and then be lucky.

I haven't used it since I got my expert knife, now all the would be knife kills go to my pistol =]

it happen to me 5 times in a row and i ended up missing out on my gold knife by 1 it really fuc*s me off

I hate to be a patch-basher, but.... I never had this problem until the 1.2 patch. I haven't had it too often so it's not a major concern for me, but I have experienced it only post-1.2 patch (and I did have the veteran knife badge before 1.2).
