Ok guys i jsut bought the game. I dont want to buy that 10$ patch.. but there are other ones tat i need to download so i can play with more people. Because right now there are like 30 servers. So where do i start with the patchs?

I'll be the BF2 diplomat and say welcome aboard. To answer your question, the $10 patch you see is just another expansion pack and isn't needed to play on servers.
The most recent patch is 1.22..
Go DL it and see if you get more servers. Hopefully after you install that patch the servers will show up. -

When you join a squad you can hear people without having a mic so you can find out for yourself. :)Comment

ya your call. You want to talk, there will be a squad out there chatting away. You dont feel like talking then thats fine too. What you don't want to do is go buy a crappy $2 mic that has you sounding like a person repeating an order over a McDonalds speaker...that really gets people hot under the collar.Comment

I got my mic/headphone (headsets) at wal-mart for $20.00 u.s., its a logitec. Its not the best you can get but will get you by. Ive gotten used to mine and really like it. Sadly most squads dont talk to each other much, but on that rare occasion when they do its worth every bit of the money I paid to be able to talk back and sound ok. Dont waste your monet on the kind that set on your desk, they dont work well with this game. Makes you sound like a fast food worker for real.
