I posted a while back about how the NBK clan tend to kick/ban for idiotic reasons....
Several months later, and more-so as of yesterday I fell upon their server with a friend. We were playing as well as we normally do, with some |SYN| clan guys bitching and complaining about base rape, because you know, they can't do anything about it.
So, as they are on Chinese and we on USMC, our pilots were being pinned down by M95 snipers over and over again, until I noticed after about 3 kills that we had bas campers. I could care less if they do, it's their loss.
I mounted in my helicopter with my friend, killed off all the snipers camping our base, I got kicked. I came back in and asked why, no answer.
I kept playing, noticed that once I was on the server again, the "sniper squad" was spawning on our main again. Once again, since no1 else seemed to do anything about it other tha complain to the admins, who weren't doing anything but kicking our team's base campers, I got in the heli, killed the snipers. I noticed why I had been kicked before, 3 of the 5 snipers were NBK clan members, and surprise surprise kicked/banned.
I told myself a while back I wouldn't be going on this server anymore, but luck had it that my friend was playing on it. The SYN clan members weren't any better; supposedly following the NBK rules, all the while bombing our main bases's UAV/SAT, which in my personal opinion, is a completely valid tactic.
So, all in all, other than the EA ROE rules, I don't think any clan should enforce any rule on their ranked server simply because it is their server. That is what unranked servers are for. I don't mind following the rules, but instead of complaining about it, I take care of it and still I get punished.
I'm not starting a rant or bitch fest, only an informative look at how some clans just can't seem to grasp the simple concept of playing for fun and not for points. If you're being base raped or left with only one spawn, it is your team's fault, not the game's. I guess in the end I never complained, but I did handle the issue and I've fallen prey to the idiocy of others...once again.
