& some sort of support system for saving a civilian (escort them to safety), & you could heal them too

Why would a civilian be running around a battlefield? I think they have more sense than that.

Say on Karkand you run round the corner near the hotel and climb up the ladder to cap the flag, and you havea civilian just standing there..

Haha, I just generally think it would be a bad idea. Like you said, with all the glitches in game right now, adding civilians would probably result in the humping of walls, even your character.. o_O

You think it would make people think before shooting, I reckon they would just shoot it anyway cos it takes a human form and doesn't have a green/blue name above its head.

Yeh, i like it - after they fix the major bugs. I worry that if they were to implement it now it would result in more issues that would require a patch 1.23 to fix!

Maybe civilian insurgents on the Middle East maps that are controlled by the single-player AI, and that pop out every now and then - just long enough fire a shot or two, or an RPG shot?
