20 FPS on SF with a 7800GT and 2GB of ram???

Having alot of problems with Special Forces, I get 20FPS on pretty much all maps, Here are my specs:

AMD 3500+ Winchester
2GB of ram
Leadtek 7800GT

I play all high with 2AA, Surely I should be able to play high with a 7800GT????

What do you think could be wrong??
I have defragged, spyware scans, virus scan, no programs running in the background, need some help on this one guys, Im all out of ideas?

Thinking just do a complete re-install and dl the drivers for your GPU again

I re-installed at the weekend a second bootable windows on another HD I've got, so I now have 2 windows installs. I installed the second version of windows because it was happening on the first. It seemed to happen around 1.2 patch that my game started playing poorly, before then it was fine.

do you have an x-fi card? ive heard people withx-fi cards are having fps issues in SF and i keep forgetting to see if I do too.

No mate, using onboard sound AC97, using software medium no EAX, its unplayable at the moment, BF2 seems to run fine just SF Im having problems with.

Try going with modded drivers. I have an ATI card but when i got my new drivers and did a clean OC i was able to double up on FPS or close to it.18-32

Try the following
1. Rename the BF2 .exe file
2. Manually update punkbuster http://www.evenbalance.com/
3. start> Run type services.msc [enter]. In the screen that pops up look for a service named "wireless zero configuration" select it, and click stop this service in the upper left corner.

edit - change your video drivers again if none of this works

I have some issues with my Falta1y on SF FPS goes to about 30 but on vanillla it can be about 60 to 90fps

I have the X-Fi and no drop of FPS, could be the server?

My BF2 fps is ok, around 80 but drops down to 40ish in heavy fighting but if SF its always 20fps, fluctuates by 5 or so but never gets into the 30's. I don't know whats wrong. 3Dmark 05 score was 7528. Its on all the servers I go on.
