    what are your specs?
the 3200+ runs really well but you might wanna get a 2.2Ghz AMD CPU.

Same here and its OC to 2.5, combined with a 7800gt and 2gb of memory, bf2 runs stutter free

the amd athlon 64 3200+ runs bf2 SUPERBLY. it is an awesome processer for bf2 and still a great one for other games. I could max out my CPU settings on F.E.A.Reasily with this processer at stock settings. it is a great CPU, awesome overclocker, and performs well. cant go wrong with it, trust me.

                    from cloaker:
So you dont have ur CPu bottlenecking if you are gonna get a X850XT or higher or a 7800 GT or higher i would suggest getting atleast a 3500 +

nope, for current games the 3200+ wont bottle neck any of those cards. going with the 3500+ is stupid because it gets about 1-1.5fps more in games, sometimes even the SAME FPS. the performance difference isnt even noticeable and it costs like 40$ more. and if you are SOMEWHAT knowledgeable, you could OC the 3200+

seems like ive said this a million times but im going to say it again

if you play first person shooters mostly youll be fine with a 3200 as it is light on the cpu

on strategies and mmos which are cpu intensive a better processor will give a huge fps increase

yes that is true, but still the 3200+ can do strategy games pretty well (just not as good as like fps games).

                              i agree

my 3800 runs any stratergy well unless i take the numbers of units to the extreme then it commits suicide
