Yeah I know, dumb title...
I'm bewildered over my sudden problems with r-e-a-l-l-y high ping rates.
First the facts. I have a low to mediocre processor/graphics card (AMD 2300 with a GForce 5700 card. But, with graphics settings on low,
I've been able to play fine on servers with pings in the low to mid 100's range (usually 125 to 141 or more). Not pretty, but it worked.
I uninstalled the game for a few days to do some work, came back and re-installed, logged in and discovered they had issued the new patch. I logged of, downloaded the patch, intalled it, went back online and found all the servers had pings starting in the 300's and going up into the teens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, (and yes, I install the patch after the game installations) but nothing changes those horrendous (that's really bad) pings.
I'm at a loss. I use dsl rated at 1500 kps. I'm left with singleplayer... AAAhhrrggg! Please... Any ideas???
