where did all the servers go?

Hey fellas, I don't know why I am getting much fewer servers. I select the following filters:

populated
same version
ranked
large maps

I get like 63 servers and before I used to get like a couple of hundred with the same settings. I thought maybe it is the patch issue but I installed the latest patch.

click it to search for small and medium maps also...and if that doesnt help enough, take off the populated option

I like big maps and populated so I can kill more opponents and like I said I used to get way more servers with the same filters.

I think "Same version" is the one that is limiting it for you.

I noticed the same this past weekend. That is, when connecting online for multiplayer play there were literally hundreds of servers to connect to when querying for large maps. While playing on Sat. and Sun. at the most there was about 85 large maps in total.

I will check to make sure that I am not limiting my query as mentioned above...next time online.

populated - BF2 community has shrunk some

same version - some have switched to other versions as well as non ranked mods

ranked- ranked servers have loosing apeal to a segment of the community

large maps- this i dont know think really has changed in affect

but i suggest you goto the servers promotion section of these forums and check some of the servers there out and save the ones you like to your favs and use favs

******** - a quick search for me on the same settings brought up about 400 servers
there's another reason - probably residing with your ISP or connection

Because of major lag issues with 1.21 and 1.22 patches.

Admins have been switching from larger maps to smaller ones. It seems to help with some of the lag when playing on smaller maps.

i have same problem but only with SF regular bf2 has alot of servers.
When i tried to jioin a few sf servers i get: your running an older version than the server.I have all latest patches installed.

I have not changed my filters and instead of getting over 1,000, I get around 700 with the 64 maps after the patch.

im still getting only about 15-20 servers no matter what i have the filters set to

Well I can't play on other versions. They are highlited in red. By the way how many versions are there and what do they mean by version. Is it a version of the game, server, etC?

Wow u get 700 maps on 64? What are your filters? It seems like every now and then the servers decreasing. Now I get like 25 with selecting populated, same version, ranked, 64 players.
