random distance indicator?

in every map i get this random red distance indicator.. that points nowhere...

anyone else get this?

Yes, gone over already, it's a bug that was left over or introduced 2 patches ago.

The distance marker is for the UAV I believe.

Im not the one needing help. But for someone who has as many posts as you do, you would think you would be more helpful. Not just replying with garbage. At about 200 posts per month, I hope they are not all like these.

First: It wasn't me asking the question....I was trying to stick up for someone who might be a little new.

Second: In this case, a search may have been a little difficult to perform. There is not an exact name for this anomaly. Its just been referred to as 'unknown distance thingy'.

Third: Just because you post a lot, doesn't make you 'L33t' or anything. You are human, and also will ask a dumb question or a question that has been asked before. So take your knowledge and use it to help.

Personally I would just choose "red distance" as the search string...

And yes, it's assumed to be where the UAV is "hiding" out.
