    SinglePlayer (gasp)

I would just like to voice an idea for the next BF game.
SP in all the BF games has been lacking so my idea centers around it, my idea is that there should be missions, not really a storyline but individual missions that you could do when your internet is down or something.

I dont want to subtract from the online portion of the game or anything but it'd be kinda nice to have somthing else to do other then online. This would also make it easier for differnt game modes online since the template would be their already (I for one would enjoy playing something like a breach map).

so if you have any thoughts on this then please post them.

Maybe if the bots actually could kill you. I do play SP sometimes for practice and it'd be nice. Or if my internet is acting up etc....

heres what I think. they should take the bf2 engine and some of the map and weapon ideas and make it into a separate game much like farcry or ghost recon (but more like farcry). I think it would be great. bf2 has turned into 64 player counter strike and I dont like that.

What I would really like is the co-op mode from BF1942 to be built into the game. Sometimes I just want to play with my friends and some bots.

No, they shouldn't waste time on single player. Once they have fixed all of the bugs in multiplayer, let them worry about singleplayer.

I have to agree with Titan here - a decent single player is okay for practice, but this is mainly and online game. Co-op would be a bonus as well, but as Titan said - fix the multiplayer first.

A classic example of where this can go wrong is "Tribes Vengeance" - they concentrated too much on the single player component, and released the game before the multi-player component was truely ready. Killed a great series. RIP Tribes.

I don't think that having a SP campaign would be horrible, but they would really have to ramp up the difficulty of the bots, and frankly right now its a MP game, so I think that they should be doing stuff for the multiplayer as we all know its not perfect before they even consider this sort of thing.

Single Player is the basis of any games, and I really wish BF2 had a very thorough Single Player side as well.

I don't mean SP as in the same game, but simply with Bots, but a true SP campaign and storyline, with non-linear levels worked out with characters, and intensity, the whole she-bang!

Many games are beginning to focus on SP alone, such as GhostRecon:AdvancedWarFighter or FEAR and then move on to The MP.

The SP of games like COD are so immersive, it's really what makes or breaks a game for me.

I wouldn't mind some linked campaign missions, but multiplayer is still where it's at

I voted yes... but not for future BF titles. How about some mods for THIS version? I wouldn't mind at all having a couple SP battles I could play with off-line and/or with buddies.

The BF games chould never become SP focused. They tried that with Tribes and ran the franchise into the dirt.
