Hey, the ROE says that car boombing is illegal, but people are still doing it.

that rule is for privatly rented server ie a clan server

Knife pistol will not only get your stats reset, but will also get the ranked server shut down..

Somehow, I don't think so. What's the big deal. Have any of you actually played on a knife/pistol server? I've played on one and it was not a 'stat padder' server. (Mostly) everyone was just using knife/pistol for all soldier v. soldier interaction. There was no 'padding' of anything. Just playing with knives/pistols only. What is the big deal?

people scoring 600 or more points a round does not seem strange? thats stat padding if you ask me. so they are not doing for badges, but they are certainly doing it for points.

It's a 64 player server with a max limit of players set very low ie 16-20. Rounds on a server like that last very long so your end score is substantialy higher than on a server that would have 64 people on.

True, but people going after badges/medals need to meet certain requirements in a single round. If you need 50 team points IAR it's definitelly easier to get them in a round that lasts 30 mins compared to one lasting 10.

No this is wrong.

High points as definded by BF2RS is a server that sets rules that alter the way the game is intended to be played in order to artificially boost scores. Knife/pistol servers can fall into this category as well as servers that do things like making rules that you can't cap flags, or saying you can only cap flags and not kill anyone. A small number of people on a large map does not constitute a high points server as long as they are playing the game the way it was meant to be played.

Well if there are 64 available slots on the server but only 10 people playing it's obviously not the case but if the max player count is set to 16 on a 64 player map it's only done to inflate your round statistics.

Or, people just enjoy fighting longer battles. Either way, it is not against the ROE, and does not constitute a "high points server" as outlined by BF2RS.
