Dissapointed with the Mecs

Is it me or is playing as the Mecs a great way to lose a match. I've been playing the AT on the 64 map and I've been doing alot better then when I started, but it seems like I am the only one firing at these tanks. I look and we have more AT on our side, but no where to be found. I was firing at one by the train accident and he was in the middle of the water, I kept firing and moving, firing and moving, he retreated back for repairs, I would fire and move again, sometimes not fast enough, but as an AT, I attack the tank, if he does not blow up, he's no going further anymore until spots me. The humvees are not problem, I can now blow them up with leading them, but tanks need at least two AT's on them. I even had some success with the unlocked gun of the AT at close combat, but where is the AT's for the Mecs.

I just wondered if anyone else have run into this problem or is it just the server I picked. There is one server I refuse to play as a Mec, unless I really want to lose and be killed every time I spawn or if I ever have a squad that works together.

By the way, three guys capping a flag is the way to go. 2 people is still slow, but three is a good number when the other three are dead or occupied some where else outside the flag ratios.

I welcome any comments on this subject, flames or whatever. I still play, so it's not a big deal.

By the way, pre patch 1.2(before I knew there was any paches) the Mecs kicked butt, even if they lost, they kept most of their flags and regained the ones they lost.

Same...I hate being on the MEC team even when they're winning. Just something about the guns, I dunno. And I think I know what server you mean where MEC gets pwnd everytime.

I have in my favorites so I do not go to it unless I want a challenge or have some guys I know go with me.

I rather like MEC, and I think that their firepower is generally better than the USMC's.

I also like slapping around all of the "I can't separate reality from fantasy" people who insist on always playing the USMC just because they live in the US.

I enjoy the Mecs, when people can defend instead of off somwhere doing who knows what. They have great weapons like the TOW in good places, but some days there is people that just can not defend. But it is fun you your a Mec and people do defend, it's a rush seeing those tanks blow up everytime they get near the hotel or off in the side roads.

One day I was an engineer and I took the tank form the main base(64 Map) and meet a USMC APC in water bast the tracks. I killed him since an APC is no match for a tank, but WTF, how did he get there so fast. I know he could have taken that short cut, but it usally takes longer than that. What do the mecs do, oh APC spotted?

I guess that's it. I'm not a huge AT fan, and neither is anyone else when I'm on MEC til its too late. That and me being and M16 fanboy

MEC is great, the AK's rule, i use them even though i have most of my unlocks. The SVD, oh im shivering with excitement the next time i can grasp one, and pull the trigger in a semi-auto kinda way, popping heads.

The only thing i dislike about the MEC are the silly awkward Vodnik vehicles, i feel like i driving a goofy box around. Or thier transport chopper that i have heard people dub "the flying potato".

But hey, when you are ghetto, you are ghetto, what can you do?

I really prefer the mec's AT-kit's SMG over usmc's.. and i like the ak-101

By the way, I'm not saying you suck.. I just find it funny that in almost every post I read about people complaining about something in the game, the latest patch always comes up.

aww come on, the SVD is cack compared to the M24 (has to be skilled tho), altho i agree it has a wicked look and sound.

As for the vodnik, in out clan we have nicknamed it the "novelty car", and the MEC chopper the "ROFLCOPTER" (dont ask)

I always play as AT when im MEC...im really good with their stock weapon...i've never had a problem with enemy armor (USMC armor) at like karkand or oman...their either noob armor whores or i have another AT guy with me....also its a good idea to hitch a ride with a tank...pwn infantry, then when you see other armor jump out and tag team them. Tank + AT guy > any armor

I was not complaining, I was stating a fact from experience. Maybe everyone was bunny hopping to win and avoid the tanks rounds? but there is a big difference in the Mec's defence at Karkand.

One group had at least 3 ATs around the hotel making the tanks useless. I am enjoying the AT kit again, now that I 've blew some tanks up, it is awesome.

It is frustrating when there is no other AT that seems to be around. As a AT, you either shoot at a tank or vehicle or fire at someone at close range.

Oh ya, I've done that before. Once on The M city(can not spell it) their was three of us with AT kits and we all fired and mine was the last to hit. It was on top of the road by the hotel I believe (and two shots were from behind) but it was like one big shoot, that needed to be recorded because the timing of it was awesome:laugh:

I really like the MEC weapons, AK101 and SVD (which does 1 shot kills as well, to all of you M24 fanboys). So I feel more comfortable playing them than the USMC

I don't play as MEC much, arab filth is big nono

I really like the MEC's weapons as well. The AK kicks the M16's ass all over the map. The PRK-74 also kicks the SAW on most maps. The PP-19 is better then the MP5 as well.

However I prefer the American pump to the Sagia 12 guage semi auto, and the M4 to the AKS-74U.

I also find tanks a problem in public games. 90 % of the time I'm the only poor sucker shooting missiles at tanks.

While it DOES seem to be getting better (one apc in Karkand was hit by 7 missiles in quick sucession :) ) People do seem more into kiling other people than killing tanks. I do see why, you can get much more points for fewer deaths, quicker. But I like using my Eryx and SRAW.

In clan matches we have an anti tank squad thats 4 AT, one Support(squad leader) and one Medic. Works quite well. 4 missiles are guarenteed to blow anything up, regardless of the number of engineers, the support give us well, fire support and reloads us, and the medic puts us back on our feet. It is a seriously highly scoring unit. Add to that 2x PP19's and 2xDAO-12's and you've got yourself quite a heafty up close punch as well.

Kind of vulnerable to a CF, but you know.....
