Came across this on tv2 server.....



172 POINTS WITH 1 KILL AND 5 DEATHS!!! And his name never came up on artilllery so he can't have been commander....

And get this i even got approached by people saying "Do you want to make 60+ points per round flipping boats (or something like that)"

RIDICULOUS!

Is this sufficient evidence of padding to report?

No that's not sufficient evidence. You need screenshots of him ACTUALLY stat padding. Not his score.

That score is gettable, but very rare. I doubt anything will happen to him if you just have a screenshot of his score.

lol calm down i didnt say it ****ed me off i was just showing you guys the sheer ease of it. No-one even started a kick vote or anything....And i then got banned for accidently tking someone whilst bombing, so i guess it just annoyed me that i was playing by the rules and got banned, but someone was cheating and can still play there...

If I am thinking rationally, it should make no difference to me if people stat pad... it's just a damn video game. Who cares? Then again, it is extraordinarily annoying to know that just by going to specific severs some people can get more points in ten rounds than I have been able to acquire in all of my feeble efforts at being half-decent. I suppose I just don't see the pleasure in racking up hundreds of points in a single round by playing a rigged server. How could that possibly be fun? I could be the most productive garbage collector in the world by screaming around in a ferrari towing a wagon, but who really cares? It does me no good in the real world. The point is to enjoy one's self. Perhaps I just don't see the purpose behind stat padding because I don't identify myself by my score in a video game. Forunately, I have many things in my life of which that I am much more proud. To be honest, I would probably be too embarrased to even mentioned that I liked computer games... let alone tell somebody my score and "rank." In short, if you want to stat pad, go ahead, I don't care. But damn, you really need something else to do with your time! Why would you waste your life staring at computer screen if you are just cheating a being good at it anyway? Just my two cents.

I think they should ban you if you report. All you got is speculation. Don't waste your time and more importantly don't waste the time of others with groundless presumptions.

And just by the way we all know this is the ONLY real reason why you want to report him:

Could just be a damn good medic whore... Saying someone killed someone eg. 40 times is not good enough either (via Bf2s) it just aids the screenshot if you have one, they could have played a 64 map with 6 people, could have been chopper whoring... ect.

Well, candy bar guy has a point. There's tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands BF2 players, so what is the point of running to the forums and giving a "warning" about any one particular player, a player most of us are never likely to encounter anyway?

And if we do encounter the stat-padding player, so what? Will our computers instantly implode or something? These "public service announcements" literally have absolutely no point whatsoever.

think the purpose of this thread is to expose these stat padders....so we can get these guys reported if/when we encounter them...so we can have a chuckle as they keep getting reset.....:laugh:

then....we can laugh that they have all these hours and time put into a game they bought, and they dont even know how to play it :laugh: because they avoid actual combat, or any other sort of game-activity

that is, assuming this alleged stat padder was in fact stat padding

Stat padding is something to report and have consequences for. Listen, if they stat pad they obviously care about points, so they are trying for something here and doing it in a way EA has said is unacceptable. That is reason enough to report them, IMO.
