It depends: on what card you have, whether or not it is still under warranty, whether or not the mfg honors the warranty on an overclocked card, etc. Depending on the card, you may not see much a difference even with an aggressive overclock.

Yes...until it (possibly) fries if you goof, at which point it will be very, very, very slow--as in DEAD.

It could be. Depends on how far you take it.

        Re: overclock

        as sorta said above me

        it depends on:
        the card
        HOW MUCH you overclock it
        warrenty (sort of)
what games or programs you will use it in etc.

so what card do you have? first off, and what are the rest of your specs i guess

You can overclock your card and you can make a decent difference depending on how good your card overclocks BUT
If you OC some manufactureres will VOID your warranty AND depending on how hard you go on the card the life of it may decrease 25-30% and also run the risk of frying it as said before.
This all comes down to the consumers choice.

If your going to OC, u need to absolutely know everything about it. I suggest you spend a few days to research overclocking to get a better understanding
