video/visual problem (screenshoots included!)

I just installed a new videocard today, BFG GeForce 7800GS (Overclock) AGP8X DDR3 256MB TV/DVI-Out, when testing the new videocard in single player mode on medium or high overall settings I’d get a bit of lag sometimes, getting around 30 F.P.S., and also a visual defect which is my primary problem. But sometimes its o.k. with minor defects, but when i alt+tab out it starts. I have downloaded the latest driver for the videocard. What should I do? How do I get the best performance in the game without having any defects and lag? Thanks in advance.

im pretty sure those are artifacts. are you using the drivers that came with it or what?
do this, open up your Nvidia control panel, then launch bf2 and play on high settings for about 20 minutes, at a random time after 20 minutes alt tab to your nvidia control panel and check the tempature of the card. what does it read?

also, i would suggest either reinstalling the drivers, RMAing the card, or just downclocking the memory to stock settings.

What steps did you follow when you installed the card? Uninstall old drivers?

ok this is what i did, uninstalled the old driver first. then i installed the new card, then installed the driver from the CD. Then downloaded the latest driver and installed it.

while i was troubleshooting, i found out what caused it. it was me alt+tabing. thats what caused it to do it in the first place. i found that out while playing serveral round without any flaws with a reinstalled driver, then when i alt+tabbed it caused it to mess it up.

I am having the same problem.

Has anyone else had problems with this while Alt tabing? I tend to do that on a regular basis...
