help me i am stuck

i have recently built a new computer with windows x64 amd.

after installing bf2 and patch 1.2.2 everything works but once i click multiplayer login and i type in my account name and password and i click login i just wait at the login screen with a message of "connecting to account server".
i searched every where and i can find anything please help.
all the drivers in my machine work. all my other net games are working perfectly

If you have a firewall. Bf2.exe needs server access as well to connect.

no firewalls, no protection softwares, windows firewall disabled.
but it just connected after 20 mins of waiting and then i cancelled it download new software euro forces and special forces and thought it will reconnect fast again. but its stuck again. :cry:

I would make sure your videocard is one on the "Battlefield approved list." I had all kinds of problems including a simliar one to yours running a card that should have work but wasn't on the approved list.
