Exact install sequence for BF2, SF, EF, and patches

Guten morgen,

I had a little set back with bf2 last night. Installed 1.22 and all I get is a black screen when I start up. Never had a problem before though but I guess it had to happen sooner or later. Anyhow, I uninstalled and have been searching a couple of threads for the EXACT install sequence if you're reinstalling everything from scratch but have been mostly getting varied answers in the older threads.

Could someone please post the EXACT install sequence if you're planning on reinstalling everything?

Install BF2
install BF2 : SF
install the latest patch (full patch)
install BF2 : EF

another question: is uninstalling enough or does the registry need to be cleaned as well?

usually I do a reigistry clean as well
however, this past time
I took a 'gamble'
and just did the inunstall from control panel for both Bfw and SF
(hmmm i think it auto-killed EF as well)
then I did full BF2
(skipped SF as I do not like it)
then FULL 1.21 then EF
works great

Install BF2
install BF2 : SF
install the latest patch (full patch)
install BF2 : EF

Hmm...That latest Full patch you can get is 1.22.
Didn't that come out after EF?

wow..... i have never had installation related problems. whenever i need to reininstall, it does not matter what order, just as long as i install all the patches.

i suggest trying incremental patches, they are what i use and have always worked.

I'm having the exact same problem i've also reinstalled everything and patched I guess i'll keep playing on 1.21 servers.......:cry:
