    I have wanted this many times and I had to figure it out myself because no one would help. So I am going to tell all you who how it is done as they are not in the default spawn list.

    Go to: ...\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\bf2editor\mods\bf2\LevelEditor\ObjectSpawnerDef. con

    Now add these lines under the last object in each section.

    MEC/US
    Code:
    ObjectSpawnerDef.AddDef ME_US_CarrierDef_F	wasp_defence_front wasp_defence_front
    ObjectSpawnerDef.AddDef ME_US_CarrierDef_B	wasp_defence_back wasp_defence_back
    CHINA/US
    Code:
    ObjectSpawnerDef.AddDef CH_US_CarrierDef_F	wasp_defence_front wasp_defence_front
    ObjectSpawnerDef.AddDef CH_US_CarrierDef_B	wasp_defence_back wasp_defence_back

      Just allows you to select the anti air objects at the bridge and rear of the Essex I believe

          You talking about the anti air guns? They are spawnable objects they are in the editor and easy to put in. Choose arty and change the type to ESSEX, I found them easily.

            They spawn the SAM's for the front and back of the Essex.

              ok but you don't have to add any code, it's already part of the editor. I must be missing something in what you are explaining. Drop spawnable object select arty, change type to Wasp Front or Wasp Rear it's already there, no extra coding necessary.
