    In-game Restart Error hypothesis

Ok so some may scoff at this but here is my latest theory on what is causing my restarts.

After doing major diagnostics as to temperature, and voltages, and many other tweaks of the like i decided that it has to be one of two things basically.

    1. ) Driver miscommunication, i have updated all major drivers and even rolled back a few times to when i know i was working fine, but there still may be an issue with either the drivers or between griver and game programing.

2.) My IRQ's are causing conflicts.

I am not real sure of how they should be set, ill look that up later. What i did notice is that under my device manager i have my video card sharing irq16 with two USB host controllers. Now i have recently filled up my usb ports with all kind of peripherials so i think that may be the cause of the random restart.

Next week i will try to actually sort this crap out for good, and test this hypothesis, dont have the time right now. Until then what are some other thoughts on the IRQ hypothesis.

Like i said my understanding of how they work is on the basic level.

Final thing is im using a Compaq and its Bios is locked and reassigning IRQ's sreeen is not available.

you can change IRQs in Windows,

Right Click My Computer > Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager (new Window opens)
View > Resources by Type > Extend the IRQ list (Right Click of the USB Host > Properties > Resources

under Administrator access you should be able to manually alter the IRQ's.
