I've got to admit that the MP-7 can be a lethal little weapon in the right situation. I found it very useful in the Palace in Warlord. I haven't unlocked it, but I can imagine that in the alleways of Karkand it could be awesome.

That's the DPV, a.k.a. the C4 Missile.

The FAV is the Chinese jeep, a.k.a. the mobile anti-helicopter turret.

In the game files the DPV is jeep_faav. I wouldn't say the Chinese jeep is underrated; I think most people know how good that is. (Much better than the DPV because of 360-degree rotation of the gun.)

Semi auto snipers can blow my nuts.

Fact is, if u want to hit things with them, u need to be prone (maybe crouched if your lucky at med range). That means u get demoted to: sitting on a hill 2 miles away trying to get kills. Believe me when i say ive used it, and while it can be quite good, it has NOTHING on the L96.

L96 is a headshot machine, 1 shot on someone who is proning with the SVD and heir dead. Difference, im on the move, they're desperatly trying to fire in auto mode to hit me. Result, i headshot them, they might hit me with 1st shot, then they lose control, and die.

And the M24 is not far behind the L96.

Why so many people love using the M95 I have no idea. I find it hilarious to see their tactics, lying prone on top of a hill or building so they are obviously sillouetted against the skyline. They stay there for ages, trying to body shot people. I either come up behind and knife them, or pop them in the head from a stand/crouch with the L96.

Overall, the M16 is the best weapon due to its versatility.

Dropped into any given situation the M16 will do the best. With practice, burst lets you become far better than a spray n pray type person. It does pretty well sniping on semi-auto. It's the best balance of accuracy/firepower in the game. The only time it does suck is extreme long range (which isnt very common in BF2) and when coming around a corner to stare down a PKm barrel (although that sucks as any kit =p).

I rarely see anyone using them, but they've saved my (and my teammates') arse many times.

hell i use them all the time, cover mysquad from tank fire so we can swing around and c4 em, and flashbangs are great too for annoying people b4 you knife em

Are you using SL waypoints to judge distance to target? How do you have time to set one AND shoot on moving targets?

there are 'tricks' that allow one see distance markers on enemies.. i always wonder whow people can tell the distance to target in this game, but i suddenly realized, that there are 'tools' available

No not really, I just thought that gloating like that isn't the greatest way to get around, not even to get people jealous.

I don't need to tell other people about my IRL achievements to prove anything (especially in a virtual forum). Most of all, I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. In essence, I'm not jealous :p but I was thinking gloating and bragging isn't a nice character trait either . After all- having to proclaim your achievements like that, to me seems more like an indication of inadequacy; if you felt 'adequate', you wouldn't need to gloat about what you really are or how good you are 'IRL'.

ALSO Your IRL 'skills' and etc, doesn't really have much to do with the 'skill' you have when playing BF2. IRL marksmanship requires a different set of skills than computer-game marksmanship- where in computer games, it's generally 'point and click' to shoot and kill (oh yes, and a little bit of compensation for bullet-drop).
Thus, you telling everyone how good you are IRL is totally irrelevant.

I'm also a high expert shooter as well as a marksmanship instructor and I can tell you that my "real life" skills have almost no bearing on how well I play my game. This is considering that many of the people playing this game have likely never shot a weapon and they still own me.

No guys its more simple than that. I use the nearest flag as my reference point.



... I measure the distance with a SPOT and some measuringtape on my screen. I do the same for the distance to the flag. The rest is in the picture.

Its a rough estimate, hence my numbers are in groups of 50. I dont know if there are tools availible. Havent seen them, but thats because I didnt know they existed.

It maybe isnt sexeh but iI was bored at some point only shooting peeps so I started to try to kill people over longer distances

alot of people underestimate the fn2000 to being a crummy weapon...i reckon it is a gods gun...ive seen people go as assault class with this thing and win by huge margins by using ONLY this gun. its grenade launcher seemsto be alot more powerfull then the m16a2 and definitly beats having to throw a grenade with the g3...and its aiming..well is beautifull...pity that i don't know how to get it too work in a regular battlefield 2 server...do you have to veteren assault badge or unlock it in Special Forces..? if anyone can tell me i will be pretty happy...

JEEBUS!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO PEOPLE HAVE TO TELL YOU?! c'mon - in the 'weapons unlocks' thread, you asked 3 or 4 times about the weapons unlock, the F2000 (not 'fn2000'), and whether the badges has anything to do with the unlocks - and good ol jdrou had replied each time you repeated and rephrased the same question you keep firing out. Read the replies to your posts and questions PLEASE!.

The answer to your badge question is NO!, the badge has NOTHING to do with your unlocks for the nth time!!! you do not need to unlock anything in SF! As long as you have BF2:SF and BF2 you should have just about ALL the unlocks available to you!

Also, the F2000 isn't THAT good, it has its benefits; I actually find the crosshair in its scope rather annoying.

Also, I have no idea with what you mean by: "pity that i don't know how to get it too work in a regular battlefield 2 server"... um... if you have the gun, how it works is: left-click=shoot, right-click=zoom... a lot like ALL the other guns in BF2. Thats how you shoot/use a gun in BF2.
